Had my 2 week post op. As you guys might recall, I've been complaining about my mons pubis pain. Well it turns out that when the DR. removed the tape, pus squirted ALLOVER!! The area right above where I was complaining had opened a bit at the incision because it was trying to remove all the accumilated fluids. He perscribed antibiotics and he will see me next week to follow up.

Everytime I get up it squirts through the gauze!! I'm a little frightened, hope this gets better.

 Hi Jessie

Congratulations on your surgery.

Bummer on the infection, it is always a concern. I am sure it will get better with the antibiotics. Dont forget to counteract all of the antibiotics killing even the good bacteria with some yogurt (if you like yogurt). I have been drinking the Dan-Active. Small amounts and tasty.

You look great!. I am going to have my husband take some pixs this evening so I can post them.

Hope your recovery gets better each day.

You are not alone in fighting and infection. Change the dressing on that area three times a day at least. Just make sure the moisture isn't just sitting there. I carry dressing changes with me at all times. Because my belly button just started draining on it's on without warning. This morning a new area on my stomach began draining. The medication will clear it up in a few days and you will begin to feel better. We're here to support you through this infection. Speedy recovery is your's!

Jessie, sorry to hear about your infection.  This is just a small bump in the road but I'm sure this will clear up in no time.  Better for the fluid to come out than stay in.  The meds should help clear things up.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Oh, infections. I had two rounds of those, I know how the feel.

Sorry you have them - just REST, tons of fluids, lots of yogurt and fresh fruits/veggies. Don't forget to eat.

Sorry you have to suffer through 'em!
