My cost for a thigh lift was $3700.  That included $3500 to the doctor to cover lipo which insurance would not cover, and $200 for the co-pay on the surgery center.  Insurance picked up the rest.

Hi Gayle,

Was it covered by insurace due to skin irritation etc?  I am looking into this one. Not for a while yet though, just recoverng from my TT/Pannic. Enough pain to last me a while!

I did not have skin irritation at all.  I had balance issues, I had so much hanging skin, fat, tissue that when I tried to run or ride my bike, it would sway so much that it threw me off balance.  My PCP said the only medical intervention was removal.  The insurance did want 6 months of medical intervention at first until I appealed with the info about it throwing me off balance and causing me to wreck on my bike. GOOD LUCK.

I had an LBL, no inner thigh work though.

After all is said and done, insurance picked up the panni portion, I still had to pay 20% of that though with insurance 80/20, etc after deductible... then my out of pocket was 10.6k - ends up being right at 11.5k total.

that's actually better than what i thought it would be, how do most people finance this and how high are interest rates for loans?

I saved for over a year.. no financing. I was darn proud of myself.. made me work that much harder and even now to keep what I have forever...

You can try carecredit.com They had 18 mos free interest but then it went retro and sky high after 18 months.  I hear it is harder to get approved with the economy the way it is..good luck!

I had LBL and inner thigh (to the knee). Total it was about $12,500 - which from past posts averages about $3-4K cheaper than in the states. (I had surgery in Germany.).  I was totally self-pay.
