I would feel like I have a girdle on 24/7!!!!!!  Da heyl??????

I'm 5 weeks out now and pretty much healed up - but I couldn't "place" the sensation I have been feeling in my midsection - just TIGHT - not pain - but TIGHT - like I am holding my stomach in ALL DAY...... without TRYING.......

I asked a "regular" skinny friend  of mine if he feels like that all the time - he said "yeah, that's what it's SUPPOSED to feel like"

THAT ISH was not in NARY brochure I read!!!!!  when I was fat, I used to could let my breathe out and HANG...... ain't no mo hangin to be had!!!!!  I'm having to relearn how to BREATHE!!!  I keep mistaking this feeling for not being able to breathe deeply - I caught myself gulping air like homie they locked in the safe in 'Harlem Nights'...... yea - you laughin - it ain't funny!!!!!!

I guess I have NEVER had regular stomach muscles - I've never felt this before - it's gonna take a while to get used to.........

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

LOL I know EXACTLY what you mean!!! I have to wear my binger 24 hours a day, except for while showering. It's the oddest feeling, that super tight feeling. I also feel like I can't breathe deeply enough. I have to make myself breathe deep. It's all good though, I'll take this over the 'hang out' any day!!!

I don't have that feeling....I have an odd feeling most of the time - like I can feel every little thing going on in my belly and I can sometimes SEE things going on (I think that's just gas though).  I didn't have a whole lot of extra tummy skin that hung over...could that be the reason I don't have that tight feeling?  Also, for the past year, I have always, every-single-day-without-fail, worn a compression type garment underneath my clothes because I was so self-conscious of what my belly looked like under my clothes.  Maybe I'm used to that feeling?  Oh, and by the way, I think I have a dog ear.  I'll post pics of it later.  Is that easily correctable?

If it is a small dog ear it might go down on its own Jess... post pics so we can see it.  If not, easily revisable.

Melissa - on revising an dog ear - what is done?  I know I still have swelling, but I sure do have a big one on my right hip.  I also have two more from when I had breast reduction 6 years ago.  I just don't want to go under again.  The only real one I would be concerned about would be the one on the hip.

Just curious!

I think it depends on the surgeon but usually they do put you under again if it needs to be revised.  It will just be another nip and tuck again... removing the excess that was once there.  I understand the desire not to go under again.  I have a lot of scar tissue under my incision above my pubis bone that I am aggressively massaging and I think it is making it build up even harder.. so yeah, I am in the same boat.  I will be having it revised at a year if it is not gone.  Hang in there.. if u aren't happy get it taken care of, we came too far not to.  Be happy with what you have... bottom line, at least I think so anyways.  Take care.

My biggest thing is the anesthesia is that it makes me so depressed that it is unreal.  I don't want to go through that again.  I'd rather them numb me and cut me.

It does havoc on me too.  I was hoping for the same thing... just numb me but don't put me out.  Good luck with it all.
