ABDOMINOPLASTY W/ PLATELET GEL

I had a consult for abdominoplasty and once home I noticed the words ABDOMINOPLASTY W/ PLATELET GEL on the paperwork.  I didn't ask at the appointment because I didn't see it at that time, but what is platelet gel?  I do have another consult, I plan to ask at that time but was hoping for an answer sooner.

Sounds impressive!
I like that it is my blood and not someone else's.  Don't want to add additional worries.
I feel sure I will go with this surgeon, but I have two more consults before I put it in writing.
