I have to have a endomentral ablasion in the next few months. Due to  a cyst in my ovary in may be more extensive. I had told my OB that I wanted a breast reduction. She told be because I was already going to be under antheshia it would be easier to to them at the smae time and would sav some money because insurance would already be picking up the cost for one surgery that is medically nessary. I would like to have a breast reduction and lift and a adominal plasty. Im sure it will be hard to get insurance to pay for these considering the only real side effect I have is upper and lower back pain. I would like to go form a 44DD to a C and have about 20lbs of skin that needs to be removed,. Im still 60lbs from the goal I would like to be but ill take what I can get. Anyone had any experience with this. I have a consult with the plastic surg on July 15th

my plastic surgeon would only do the abdominalplasty because of the amount of time it takes.  She does not like keeping anyone under more than 4 hours and the abdominaplasty took 3 1/2.  Most insurance will pay for an abdominalplasty if you have lost at least 100lbs,  As long as you are no longer considered morbidly obese - bmi of 40 or more, there should not be problem.  As for the breast reduction  - do it quickly.  I waited too long, and now my boobs are too small.

Good luck with your consult

J iad to have a hysterectomy adn ny GYN allowed the PS to do an abdominoplasty @ the same time, it was so well worth it because recovery is the same for both surgeries & I didn't want to be laid up twice

I had both.  Insurance covered the br as I filled the insur. requirements- amount of poundage and less invasive treatment that did not work (back & neck pain).  Your surgeon can tell you & you can check your policy yourself.  Self-paid for the tt as it wasn't enough for insurance to cover.  It did NOT go by total weight loss.  I don't think that most od.

Check with the hospital for costs.  They send ONE bill & if it is not ALL covered it will ALL go to you- I learned this the hard way.  They do NOT seperate billings.  You do pay for surgeon, anethesia, & operating room seperately.

I went from 40F to 36D.  What a relief!  But my surgeon wanted me within normal weight range.  I did not have nearly that much lbs. removed- maybe 5?  My surgeon was concerned with table time & these two procedures were the limit.

TT much harder to recover from than br, but neither are much fun. It really doesn't matter what "your" goal is.  They use a body fat chart.

Good luck!
