should i feel bad?

So I went back to work after only 2 weeks on MOnday..I feel great and all that good stuff.  Well i am finding that going back doing 8 hours is a bit too much for me.  The doctor that I work for told me to do whatever I needed.  I am going to only do half days for a couple of weeks until I can get my stamina built back up.  I am feeling so good that sometimes I forget that I had major surgery done and my body is still in shock.

Should I feel bad about just doing half days?

I am two weeks out today and I cannot even imagine having to go to work yet! UGH...I'm not going bac****il either July 6th or July 13th.
No, you have to take care of you! You had major surgery and need time for your body to recover from the trauma, as well as the anesthesia!
I think it's smart to do only 1/2 days fo now.

I went back to work at 3.5 weeks out and I worked 1/2 days for two weeks and was EXHAUSTED at the end of each partial day. I'd go home at noon and sleep until my boyfriend got home.

I never felt bad about doing it - as a matter of fact my boss was like "are you sure you're ready to start back full time" after the 2 weeks of 1/2 time.

Heck no, you shouldn't feel bad!  I couldn't imagine being at work right now for any amount of time.  Thankfully - I have summer's off   I don't have to go bac****il August.  I hope to be 100% by then.  Actually - I'd like to feel a whole lot better in the next week or two so that I can have at least a little bit of fun and excitement over summer vacation.

Anyway - bottom line - take ALL the time you need.  Don't jeopardize your health!

I know...I just have this guilty feeling.  I know that I need to take the time but I need my job too.  I know that my boss who is the Doctor understands but its the **** that you knwo the other girls are thinking and probably saying.  I know that it was an electivve procedure but I waited to have it done too.  I thought of the office before having it done.  I scheduled this in February for June surgery only becasue I knew our office was moving and we would need to settle. So I helped with the move, hepled with the set up and worked for a month in the new environment so everyone would be settled and comfortable with the new office before I took off for a bit...

I am a busy body and a hard worker...i hate staying home but this time I really need it

Take the time.  You had major surgery and need to take it slow.  Dont feel guilty.  Probably the people you work with would have taken 6 weeks off.  LOL'

Your doing 1/2 days.  that is awesome for 2 weeks.  give your self a pat on the back and forget about the guilty.  Not useful.

Hope I recover like you when I have my plastics.

What did you have done?
