How self-conscious are you about scars?
The skin was far worse than the scars. And sweetie if you do it right -- by the time you get undressed he ain't even going to notice the scars!!!!!!!!! Hot, monkey sex -- is not a visual sport, it is a physical sport and you will be able to move and bend in ways you never thought you could. Plus, for you, once everything gets lifted back up where it belongs it is going to feel soooooooooooo much better!!!!!!!!!! Even at our age my DH looks at me nekid and giggles!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a couple friends who are very worried about scarring post plastics.
I think it comes down to how much excess skin you had to deal with post WLS. It seems most that worry about the extent of the scarring, truly have more of a choice. Their excess skin isn't so much a factor that surgery is a MUST for them.. they really need to decide.. skin or scars?
Me, I had no choice, I had so much skin that scars were the least of my worries. Yes, they come up way higher than I would like in the back but I will take it over the ecxess skin any day of the week. I can totally live with that. That excess skin is a huge issue for me especially intamately speaking.. it was nuts. I am so much happier with it gone..scars and all.

Melissa-
I'm pretty sure that there is absolutely NO elasticity left in the skin on my legs, hips and butt.
Take a look at my "catsuit" pre op pictures on my profile (album titled "Ain't She A Big'un?")
I think the scars are going to look good compared to what I'm gong to have left, plus, hygiene is going to be a BIG issue once the skin collapses. It already is enough of one now!
I had breast reduction surgery a few years back. I have some scars, but they are fading. I call them 'Franken-titties". It really doesn't bother me, because I know I'm better off without the boulders I was lugging around. My back thanked me.
I have had three WLS. And an abdominalplasty. I have some scarring near my pubic bone, but it's fading. I guess if I worked on it, they would be gone. But, for some reason. I don't care about the scars. I'm not planning on posing for Playboy or anything. I'll never wear a bikini, and if I did, so what.
Yeah, I have scars and I'm kinda proud of them. I've been thru such a hard time to get where I am and I guess it's a badge of courage. I survived and will now survive longer because of them.
