So both of my drains are gone and I feel great!!  I am still a little swollen but after 2 weeks out of work, I am going back on Monday.  I actually am looking forward to going to work!!

I have to wear the binders for a few more weeks.  I may keep them off here and there to fit into my pants,,,(Is this Ok?).  We are going out this weekend and I want to be able to wear some nice clothes, not sweat pants.

I will post pictures this weekend.

On another note, I can  not poop!!  I have always had a problem, but now that I am nto exercising like before surgery, it seems to be worse.  I have taken a laxative twice in the last 24 hours and no luck!!!

Pain medication will stop you up big time.  I take phillips caplets when this happens.  Sometimes it takes a couple of doses to get things going.  Try to increase your fluid as this will help too.

I actually have not had any pain medication for almost 12 days.  I was able to go a bit this morning finally.  I definitley do need to increase my fluid intake as well.  i have been concentrating on getting my protein in so that I can heal and have forgotten about the fluids!!

So I am sipping away as we speak,,,12 ounces down!!!

Good girl.  The fluid will help a lot.

Yay on the drains!!!!!!!!! I know exactly how you feel getting them out!

After laxitives & stool softeners the thing that finally made me "GO" was fleet suppositories. After that one good time I'm taking stool softeners each night and so far so good!

Can't wait to see the pics. I'll be posting some soon as well.

I've been taking stool softeners every morning, miralax every evening, and finally took a dose of dulcolax.  That worked a little too well.

No luck with me, but I'm only a 3 days out but I've been taking colace every time I take a pain pill.  I'm gonna make me a cup of that smooth move tea that BigCityGirl recommended and see if that helps too.
