Hi all,

I have been meaning to post sooner but naps have gotten in the way!  So, I went in on Wed (6/10) morning at 6am, signed in and all.  By 7:30 I was out.  8 hours and -17lbs later, I woke up in recovery.  Everyone at the surgical center were wonderful!  I had some trouble coming out of anesthesia, but was okay after about an hour.  I spent 3 days and 2 nights at a recovery retreat.  They were great.  It was around the clock care by RN's but in a comfortable environment.  I packed a bag and never really used anything.  I did forget lip balm!  I went home Friday.  Pain has been minimal.  I am taking 1 percocet at night, and for the past two days, I have only had to take Tylenol once.  I have 4 drains.  I am hoping to get at least 2 out at my next appt. on Thursday.  My incisions are healing well, but boy am I TIGHT!  I dream of being able to stand up straight!  I have pre-op pics I need to post and will take some post soon.  My surgeon is going to give me a CD of pics he took during the procedure per my request.  I have seen some of them and they are way cool!

Hey Surgery Date twin! I'm glad to hear you're doing so well. I had the panni/tt but not the LBL on the same day you did. I just posted about getting my drains out today and BOY does that make a difference. I feel more alive!
Sounds like those days of recovery was exactly what you needed. I went home to my Mom's (due to my house being way too dog freindly! lol) and the sleeping in the reclinder is for the birds! I've been home since Saturday and sleeping (using that term mildly!) in the guess bedroom at night, sitting in reclinder during the day when I'm not walking.
I am having soreness now but no real pain and taking the tylenol just every once in a while when I need it.
I will also be posting pics soon. Can't wait to see yours as well.

Congrats on 17 lbs removed!!!! OH MY.. I looked at your one year pic and where did you hide that?!?!?!  Holy cow woman! You are gonna feel like a new woman now!!!

Taking tylenol once... WOW.. I feel like a wuss LOL... great. So glad to hear you are not in that much discomfort!!!  Sounds like you had excellent care.  The tightness is something isn't it  I assume you mean in your back incisions and muscles in the abs? I felt that way too it does get better!  I also got some pics during surgery, incredible aren't they!!! How fun!

Glad you were able to post and glad you are on the mend... happy healing and take care of yourself.
Hugs, Melissa
