Do you have an outfit/piece of clothing for your "after"???

What's your "after" outfit?

I totaly dig 2nd hand stores because truth be told, I love to clothes shop.  I did before WLS and it's even worse now that I have more than just a "section" from which to choose. I love the hunt for an $80 pair of jeans being re-sold for $4.  I love being able to afford clothes I'd never afford retail. LOL

That being said....

Right before plastic surgery, I found this little beach/summery dress that I knew would be perfect for post-plastics, to really show the results and give reason to why I was doing it.   Green, clingy material, braless (as it's backless), empire waist, etc.

When I tried it on beforehand, oh my gosh is clung to my saggy, baggy panni. LOL   And my tatas, bah!  Nipples peeked out way under the empire waist.

I cannot wait to try it on in a couple weeks, after some more swelling has gone away.

I wish I would've taken a "before" in the dress.
Hindsight, eh?

Oh gosh, now I feel the need for a disclaimer! LOL
I'm almost 40... I shouldn't be wearing dresses like these.

BUT.... I'm no longer 249 pounds so I need not care what I "should" or "shouldn't" wear, right??
LOL

I'll probably end up on What Not To Wear someday for trying to dress younger than I ought.

You just go on with your bad self and rock that dress...who cares how old you are...age is just a number!!!  You deserve it.

I too can not wait to get into a dress for a wedding in a few weeks with my new body!!!

Susan - you got them before  you knew the end results? I guess I won't change that much but am nervous to 'stock up" this soon. LOL

I must admit - it's already so amazing to not have to tuck my skin/tummy into my underwear.  And to not have it peek out under the leg openings is just amazing already.

Had to smile when I read this, Wow, so identify!!  Also, not to have to pick up my pannus to wash under it, still can't get over that and it's been almost 4 months!!

I got them post LBL but before brachioplasty and boobs (which made the biggest difference) and medial thigh..........so yes - I was optimistic - but I'm very big on visualization as a motivator and it helped to have those cute sexy suits to get me through each stage of surgery.   Susan

I bought (2) dresses before my LBL that I wouldn't have worn because of the lumpy bumpies.  One is a "form-fitting" leopard print dress , and the other is a fitted "little black dress".  They fit wonderful now !!!

I love shopping at Thrift Stores too!  Never thought I would, but like you, I've found some AMAZING buys for under $10.    I've found name brand jeans, dresses, suits, coats - it helps to appease my shopping "addiction".  Even better, my daughter and I can wear some of the clothes - which almost doubles her wardrobe!!  We wear the same sizes in most things, but she has a more defined waist and a little wider hips, and I have a longer torson and am broader across the back.

Oh yea, I bought bathing suits beforehand too.

Your little green dress sounds adorable!!!  I'm sure you'll look fantastic!

I was too chicken (and cheap) to purchase beforehand.  I now LOVE those snug, stretch, clingy materials.  Heck, I even pay full price sometimes although it's a real treat to buy on sale.  Everything that I try on looks good!

Appropriate?  It is if I say so & I'm 60!  While everyone else is now going through menopausal spread which I had years ago, I'm looking fine!

You go, girl!  Bathing suits, shorts, tops, skirts- they all look super now & it's wonderful not to have to try to hide (cover) something.  Who knew that spandex could be my friend?  Yeah for all of us!  I just wish more could experience this.
