Tummy Tuck, 9 days out..

 Hello, first post for a long while, I had a TT 9 days ago, all going well, but, there seems to be a bit of swelling above the cut, it is like I still have a fair bit of fat there, and it is very uncomfortable.

Is this normal, is there swelling to this extent at this stage, I had the drains out after only a day as not much was  coming out.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Congrats on your TT!  Although I haven't had one (yet), I've read on here that swelling can persist for months.  At 9 days, you're still a newbie!  Sounds like you're off to a good start with getting the drains out so quickly, just give it more time to heal.  And now, for the disclaimer... If you have any concerns at all, you should call your doctor's office.  They should be happy to answer any questions you may have.  Wishing you quick healing!

I had my TT on june 2nd, 10 days ago and yes, I have a roll right above the incision line too. I'm hoping it's swellling and NOT fat!  I think it is swelling because it feels very solid and warm to my hand but numb when I touch it.   My doctor is VERY attentive and sees me just to check on me a couple of times a week. He is VERY happy with the results so far. So I guess it's all ok. I'll have to remember to ask him specifically about this during my next appt.

Yes, it's totally normal. Are you wearing a compression garment?

 No I just have a compression bandage, after the first week of having it all taped up.
