SOooooooo excited... What do I need to know..
Hey everyone.. I met with a new PS on Wednesday that I absolutely adore.. He's recommending a Belt Lipectomy.... My insurance was a pain in the acre and beat us down so were just going to pay for it ourselves... Thank goodness this surgeon gave us a nice discount to get it done... $7500 inclusive (hospital, anesthesia, pa ect).. Now I get to call them in a little bit to schedule my surgery date...
SO now's the ? of the day is.... What do I need to know preop and postop that they don't tell you. Binders, drains, pain.. Give me all the deets. I'm so excited I'm jumping out of my skin.

ETA: Also be very specific in speaking with your surgeon about how he is going to manage the mons area.

I am wearing my binder 24/7 except to shower and I love it. I am wearing mine for 3 mos at request of my surgeon for best results. I also had 4 drains, one on each hip and one on each labia.. yep labia. Pretty common there and very annoying. I got mine out on day 8 postop most keep theirs longer but I was lucky, never drained much.
Pain well yeah I had pain b/c I never got anything IV for pain in the hospital, surgeon doesn't believe in it so u can ambulate but my pain got severe enough I needed IV valium to take the edge off and once I got that it was downhill from there.
Except at 2.5 weeks out my nerve endings woke up and I had "zingers" and nerve pain but only lasted 36 hours and was basically over after that.
I am thrilled, THRILLED with my results.
You will be so glad you did this!! CONGRATS!
