Dr. Sauceda plastic surgery revision

Hi Jane, Dr. S said he could have taken a little more off my tummy. That's why I had the revision. He said PS is a little like black jack when it comes to taking off too much--in black jack, one more card can bust you. The same with PS, one more inch can cause problems. Every patient is different. But again, I am extremely happy and also glad he did the revision for free. I paid for my airfare and three nights in the hotel.

What is a hematoma and what is a seroma? I've been confused about those terms.

Good luck with your healing. I know for me, every month I saw improvements post-op and it really takes 6-9 months to get the full results.

I may not be 100% corrrect but here is my understanding:

Hematoma is where you have continuing bleeding under incision immediately after surgery.  I had huge swelling, bleeding and bruising on my arm under my arm and down my back.  It was a little scary.

A seroma is a lump of fluid that comes up sometimes after surgery.  I got one on my left arm about 4 weeks out.  Message has helped to get it down, but it is still not completely gone and gets a little larger from time to time.   It has caused more drooping than the hematoma.
