Since you are nearly 3 years out would you post an update on the VSG board, it would be really useful and appreciated.

Thanks,

Anne

everyone is different. depends how much skin you have. I went in weighing 144, after my swelling went down i was 139ish. the doc never told me  how much he removed, but the scales showed about 5lbs.    Brandi

18lbs of skin was removed and he only weighed the bigger pieces.  He guessed approximately 22lbs all together.

I had a lot of excess skin as I lost 190ish lbs.

I had 7 lbs removed - mostly all skin, very little fat as I was below my goal.

I had a lower body lift on 4/28.

Skin itself doesn't weigh all that much but fat adds to the bulk of the weight.  I think it depends on how

much fat they remove along with the skin.  Having 7 lbs of mostly skin removed proves I had a lot skin

weight.  I have preop pictures and postop pics on my profile. I will be taking 6 week picture next week to share.

I will add you as a friend if you aren't already so you can look.

Good luck!!!!
Hugs, Melissa

I haven't had my lower body work done yet but my surgeons have always cautioned me not to focus on the pounds of skin removed because they say it actually weighs much less than one would expect.  I tell them.......yeah yeah yeah, I still want to know!

Personally I'm hoping to have at least 10 maybe 15 lbs removed from my legs and stomach.  But I also know I will be having fat pumped into my butt so the number on the scale may not change as much.  For me, if the flab is gone and I don't shake like a bowl of jello when I move, and I can fit into a smaller size pants (2 sizes would be a dream but I'll take 1) I'll be happy.

I'll be interested to see what others who have had their LBL say was removed.

Thanks

I haven't weighed myself yet because I know it's not accurate considering I'm barely eating, etc.
Doc said he removed approx 4lbs with the TT/pani.
