How many pounds of skin did you lose?

I am trying to figure out how close I may be to goal.  I am currently 153 (even though my profile says 185-can't figure out how to change it).  My goal is 130.  My surgeon says I definitely need a tummy tuck because I have lots of excess skin.  My question is, how much weight did you lose after having the skin removed.  Someone told me theirs was about 15 pounds.  Can you tell me your experiences?  Thank you!

But I do know I was 167 pre-surgery.. 165 the day after, and 162 today,,three days later.

Now,,,was that skin loss, or just not much eating and sleeping alot?

First of all, congrats on your surgery.  I know you're glad to have it overwith.  Do you have a lot of swelling?  Is it painful?

Yes, I am REALLY glad it's all over!! 

Painful? Yes, but not NEARLY as bad as I had anticipated,,which is a really good thing. Getting in & out of bed isn't easy and coughing is a KILLER!    Swelling, yes, but it's hard to tell so far. I've been very bandaged up but it doesn't seem to be too bad.

The BL hasn't hurt at all!  Not one bit. The TT is the touchy one!

The doctor removed 11 pounds of skin (which was donated) when I had my lower body lift March 2009. I love my flat stomach and even my flat butt!

That's wonderful!  Congrats on your success.  I've never had a flat stomach, so I can't even imagine how great it would be.  Thanks for your reply.

I weighed 157 when I had my LBL and the surgeon removed 6.2 pounds.

Thanks for your reply.  How long after your RNY did you have the LBL?

I had a VSG not an RNY.  I had my LBL at 15 months Post Op from my VSG and six months after weight stabilization.
