It's Official........Lower Body work

Well I've done it.......I confirmed a surgery date for my lower body work.
July 30th in CA with Dr. Agha.  Say a prayer for me on that day.....

YIKES!
In the past 2 hours I've gone from being very excited to OMG what have I done and back to somewhere in the middle.

I think we need to prescribe you a nice herbal tea and some "Ommmm, ommmmm".

If that doesn't work, maybe a nice hot bath? Or Xanax (j/k)?

Yep, I've had to fight with my thoughts constantly after my decision to get plastics.

My mouth says "OK,,Let's DO IT."  

And my mind says "What the heck did you just say?????????"

WOW....I did not know your choose Dr. Agha!!   I had a consult with him when he was training in Pittsburgh.  He did training with one of the best, Dr. Hurwitz in Pittsburgh!
He is so kind and soft spoken...I only wish I could have afforded to stay here and have my surgery...they wanted $28,000 for my LBL....just not something I could afford!!

We are LBL sista's.  I'm also having an LBL with Dr. Agha.  I thought you might have chosen him when you mentioned the procare in another post.  How exciting!  I'm having mine June 30th.  Congratulations on booking your surgery!

I'm using Agha too (Moosie already knows me) but I haven't figured out my date yet. Are you in SoCal or are you coming to the area from out of town?

Are you doing hospital or surgery center? Have you decided yet where you are going to stay for your recovery (recovery aftercare center, hotel,or a combo of both?)

Sorry for all the questions, it's just always exciting to meet another Agha patient!

I'm soooo excited to be in touch with other patients of Dr. Agha.  I too have tons of questions but I'll try to pace myself.

So far I've decided to stay in the surgery center one night.  After that I'm going to a recovery center but I'm having a hard time deciding on how many nights.  My big thing is.. sorry if this is too much info...but I don't want to come home until I can wipe my own a@#.  I live with my boyfriend, and although he is quite willing and able to do that for me, I just can't put him (or me) through that.  What do you think?  

Are you doing anything special to prepare (workouts, supplies, etc.)

I'd love to know your plans.  Are you having anything else done besides the LBL?

I totally know what you mean about the ability to wipe. I think I'd like to stay at a recovery place till I can do that on my own.

I'm confused about something you wrote--you said you're staying in the surgery center one night--did you mean the hospital? B/c the surgicenter is just for surgery, I do not believe there is an option to stay overnight. (Or maybe there is and I missed something?)

For workouts, well, yeah, I've been doing them, I do physical therapy and through them I do Pilates, and I also have a trainer (see the link in my signature to the TV show--that's how I got hooked up with a free trainer, I got really lucky).

For supplies, I've heard that there is something called the Freshette which is really good. It's like a funnel that you pee into, and it means you don't have to sit down to pee. I understand it really makes things easier those first few days.

Well, for the LBL, I wanna do the whole enchilada--but aug and spiral thighs. Thankfully I don't need the vertical thigh lift, I don't think I could handle it. And then later I will want to do the upper body -- for me that will be some kind of arm lift (I'm hoping for as minimal as possible), a breast lift (w/o implants, I have enough boob, they just need to be made perky) and the J-thoracoplasty to take care of some ugle back rolls). Pretty much I'm getting the whole Agha special but just w/out implants or vertical thigh.
