I have Harvard Pilgrim, they approved my RNY in about 2 bus days. I love them!

Congratulations on getting it approved.  I just got my rejection letter for that portion of the surgery and I am planning my appeal.  The insurance co. is covering the large repair of my hernia, but has denied my skin removal.  Anyway, was there anything special that you did or said to get them to approval?

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks! Good luck on your appeal! I am sure you will win!  I didn't do anything. My PS did everything. He took pics of my scars and submitted a letter on my behalf on it being medically necessary. I have them on my thighs as well as my hoo hoo... but this surgeon doesn't do those procedures here in Maine.
