Did other people notice a difference after you had your TT or LBL?

That's exactly what I do now.  I did it as a fat person and still do.  Isn't it funny how after we lose weight some of us still tend to dress the same just in a smaller size?   I think it's going to feel so strange to actually buy a top that doesn't cover my belly completely!  And tucking in?  Totally foreign to me!  LOL

My husband and sister noticed the difference right away.  And for the first few months just in case my husband did not notice -- I would stand in front of him and pull up my shirt to show him!

I'm sure I'll be the same way.  I won't even have to show anybody, I'll just keep looking at myself in the mirror in awe!

The biggest change for me was the style of clothing I was able to wear after my LBL.  I went from loose fitting tops to fitted, even tight tops and that's when you really notice the difference.  I just got back from work in Italy and Switzerland and I can tell you, that lots of men, strangers, really look now !  It's a great feeling after being "invisible" for a number of years.  It's a huge ego boost.

I'm all for an ego boost!  It is nice being noticed after being transparent for so long.

I must admit that most people that I know as acquiances almost did not reconize me. I continue to go smaller and smaller and people tell me how much more have u lost they all tell me I look 100 times better, I had lost over 100 lbs by the time I had the tt and most people never noticed i lost 100 plus lbs tell the huge pannis came off, I was a tiny woman under this huge pannis but now I am that tiny woman, The doc i use to see saw my son after hours last night and she said I did not realize it was your tell i saw your sons name on chart and then i figured it was you, Wow u look great and she says man u make me look fat now.

I think you have had an amazing transformation.  Your belly is similar to mine preop so I'm hoping my tummy will end up as flat as yours!  I've enjoyed reading how your PS journey has changed your life too.

Thanks,
Melissa

Like others, I used to hide behind fuller clothing, now I wear more fitted. As an observation about myself, I don't know what type of TT or LBL you are thinking of having, but I did not have an anchor cut. I didn't have any belly scars, so didn't want one with an anchor. But, I also carry a lot of weight in my midsection and although I had lipo, I still have some left. I guess my point is that I would maybe have been happier with an anchor, but, alas, too late now. LOL Good luck, you will love whatever you have done!!

I am having an LBL with an anchor cut.  My WLS was open so I already have the scar which is why I opted for the anchor cut.  I carry lots of my weight in my belly so  I think I would have opted for an anchor cut even if I didn't have the scar.  I never plan on wearing a bikini so the scar didn't matter to me.  I have heard of a few women wishing they had gone with the anchor cut after they  had their TT.  I guess it's one of those things that is hard to determine beforehand especially if you don't have a scar or a surgeon leaning in that direction.

Thanks!

It really depends on what you wear.
If I had wore bikinis before, that I wore after you sure could tell ;)
I hid it before, didnt have to after. No more long shirts, baggy jeans ect.
You will be amazed, it was the best thing I ever did!
You will definately look like you have lost more. Especially where you carry weight in midsection, it will be gone. it will me awesome!
