The Truth and Nothing but the Truth (please!)

Hello all,

I am scheduled to have a LBL/BL/and arm lypo on June 22.  Needless to say, I'm incredibly excited, but as the days get closer, I'm getting nervous!  :)  Can someone please tell me how painful this is going to be?!  I'm trying to prepare, but I just want a head's up from someone who's been there!  Also, is there anything I should be buying a head of time to help me during recovery?  I've heard stool softener, but didn't know if there was anything else I should be stocking up on!

Thanks so much!

Did your insurance pay for any of it?

Just the panni removal - which was minimal.  I paid a lot of out of pocket expense.

Also Kelly - I have pics from week 1 and 2 on my profile.  You have to be an OH friend to view, I cannot add you as I cannot access your profile and the "add friend" feature here on the posts is not working for some reason.  If you would like to see my postop photos please add me - it also includes preops so u can see the changes.
Hugs, Melissa

In addition to stool softeners - have both a ducolax suppository and the oral version on hand -just in case.  I did three rounds of plastics - after round two (brachio and boobs) the pain meds shut down my gut completely and I was miserable - far worse pain than the surgery!.   On my third procedure - medial thigh lift - I took the oral laxitive (and I avoid taking meds at all costs normally!!!) on day 2 to make sure I didn't go through that again.

Plastic surgery pain is tolerable with pain meds.   I look back at my pictures - some of which make me cringe - but boy was it worth it........I'm thrilled with my new body.    Susan
