Do most surgeons offer free consult?

Do most surgeons offer a free consult and if so what are the stipulations? If not, what is the average consult fee?

Can't say most - but when I have paid, it's been $100 to $150. 

The surgeon I am going with next week didn't charge a consult fee.

Some do, some dont. I havent consulted with any that charge a fee. There are some that I called and just turned me off that they charge a fee for a consult. I think they should be free.
They are usually $75 to $100out here.

Mine was billed to my insurance for 287 dollars and it was covered at my normal copay (I was shocked).

Wow!!! Do you mind me asking if you had a consult for anything that might be considered medically necessary? I'm trying to get an idea if mine might pay. I'm going for a BA or BL and maybe lipo.

I had an LBL on 4/28 and the panni was medically necessary.

I paid about 11k after insurance.
