Anyone have implants without lift? Consult on Tues. lots of ?

I'm so nervous about my consult. I have been so excited about the possibility of fixing my breast that I can hardly sleep at night. Here is quick background. I am 35 (had two large babies), I had lap band in 12/2007. I went from 190 to 122 lbs. I lost most of my breast tissue along the way.
I want so badly to have my femininity returned to me.

My band doctor recommended someone and I have a consult on Tuesday. He is within my very modest 6k budget. However, I cannot afford both BL and BA. It's 8.5 K. My goal is to have 6k paid off in a year. His nurse suggested I  look into going with the implant alone (told her about my breast position) and suggested I come back in a year for a tweak if I was unhappy with whether or not I felt they were saggy. She said cutting on them is major (BL) and I should consider trying to avoid that if all possible. I understand this was just a conversation over the phone and the doctor will be able to tell me what is practical, but for budget purposes she extended some suggestions before I got my hopes up for nothing. I appreciated that.

Here are my questions. Thank you in advance for anyone that takes the time out to reply and help someone who is beyond NERVOUS!!!

1. What all should I ask?

2. For those of you with BA alone....are you happy with the position?
Will I just look like I gained weight? Been there done that...don't want to pay 6k for that.

3. Saline or silicone and why did you choose one over the other?

4. If I get them done this summer, how soon can I vacation? I have several small ones planned and a week long beach vacation. I'm in education so I would love to do it while I'm off.

I have actually asked this question to a plastic surgeon while there for a consult appointment about another procedure and this is what I was told.............

It depends on how bad they are "sagging". If you get implants without the lift, then you will have implants sitting up on your chest while your nipples are still pointing at the ground.
It also depends on whether the implants are placed on top or under the muscle, sorry but I can't remember which he said would be best for this type of procedure.
I've wanted, for some time now, to have my youthful breasts back, but I am so scared, because I know with surgery, nothing is perfect.
I'm scared one will be too high, too low, too big, or too small.
And as a matter of fact, Melissa at my gym, had hers done and now one is up higher than the other.
I didn't notice until she told me, but yea, if I were a guy that looks at breasts, I think I would have noticed.
She got the implants, no lift, and the surgeon told her the only way to get that breast up with the other is to do a lift. She breast fed all 3 of her children, mostly on that side and the breast tissue has been stretched and he said that a lift is the only fix.
She doesn't want the scars that come with a lift , so she is leaving them the way they are.
Dumb butt, she is somewhere around 40 years and and left her husband for a 23 year old and is pregnant by him. Not sure how the pregnancy will affect her "girls". Maybe she can breast feed on the other side (if you can still breast feed after implants, not sure) and it will drop low enough with the other one.

Amy,

I never thought about that. I do have one breast slighty bigger than the other because of that very same thing. I nursed and I used mostly my right side because that arm was the strongest to support my baby. This is something I will bring up to my doctor. I want to do something and will probably go through with some sort of surgery. I just cannot afford both lift and implants. I want to pay it off quickly. Our economy stinks right now and you never know. Thanks again for sharing your experience and knowledge. Best wishes to you.

Ok I am 3 1/2 weeks post Ba and no lift and I am pleased with the fact I did not have a lift, I had 650 cc implants and they were filled to max , My history is I went from 295 to 166 and had 9 children and nursed all of them and I had no breast please see my before and after pics and see what they did grant u they are post and do look funny and do not do justice what they look today  but they are perking up  rounding out and no sagging skin on sides of the brest and I just love my saline implants and they are firm and perky and the breast i aways wanted they are still dropping but no way in world could i imagine a lift they do seem pretty high and they do need to drop more and my nipples are lifting into place .. I have no issues with the saline o would say after a month u should be ok for most thingsjust check with doc to see when the pool is ok .
Good luck

Lisa,

The album was there and it was labeled but it said no images available. I'd love to see your pics. You truly have given me hope. I think I will be okay with just the implant. My nipple is still in a perky position. My problem is no top tissue at all. I love the idea of having a tad bit of a sag so the breast looks more natural. I'm a mother and take pride in being a Mom so porn star look is the last thing I want. I'm so glad to hear from others that feel the same. You look great!  Thanks again for posting. You made my day!!!

I have absolutely no experience with this at all, but my surgeon and I touched on breasts as it is something i want done in the future.

From what all I have heard.. you being a lighter weight preop to having some breast tissue left, being young etc.. I bet you can get away with just a lift.  Just a hunch.

Good luck!
Hugs, Melissa
