Am I being foolish?

I had lapband in Dec. 2007. I was 190 and I'm now 122 lbs. My thighs are a little saggy, my tummy looks okay in clothing, but I do have some saggy skin in the lower tummy area. My breast went from 38 C to 34 C with little breast tissue or shape left. I have invested in  very padded bras and feel okay with one on, but bathing suit season is a nightmare. I found one with wire for a lift, but I look like a child in it.

I only want to spend $5,000. for any sort of work since I can live and hide most of my issues. We are wanting to upgrade and buy another house so I don't want to spend more than $5,000 on my surgery. Not to mention I have a pre-teen and another one needing to go to college someday. My husband really wants me to have my breast done. He feels like this is what bothers me most and feels like this will be the surgery that will help me feel better. I know I want something done, but am I being un-realistic to think I can have something done for $5,000? Please help!!

You know I am struggling with this too......my tummy is easy to hide but my poor breasts look like a pancake in a bathing suit.........Broomhilda recommended VS miracle bra suit or a land's end type.........I thought the miracle bra tankinis were adorable, came in my catalog this week.

Just FYI because I tried everything at Old Navy and they all fit but UGH flat like pancake.  Skinny but wrinkly thighs...

If I have to live with my wrinkly legs, I at least want my breasts to have the illusion of decency!  I understand how you feel!

The one I found with wire is from Lands End. They don't make them with wire and padding now..only wire.

I bought a tankini from VS with push up (pre-band) and I felt it was too reveling. I also have found that anything that pushes them up too much makes it look worse because it is just skin and little to no breast tissue so the skin is what is pushed up and it wrinkles like an old women. AGH!!!

I'm so bummed!!! I know I'm normally so positive, but today I feel bummed. My husband got a huge promotion and suggested I have the ps I wanted now. I'm bummed because I cannot spend more than 5,000 without feeling sooo guilty. AGH!!!

I got an overstock from LE with padding and wire, my fingers are crossed, it is black which is not great because I am pale but I was happy about the price, so I ordered both sizes and hope to return only one!

I know what you mean about push-up but I still prefer that.........the girl *****commended the VS lost I think 180lbs so she knows.......about the deflation.  I hate my old woman look and my old woman thighs (pic of those are in my photos)

Hi. You were fine with your breast when they were a 38C and to be honest with you there isn't a major difference between 38C and 34C. There are some padded bathing suits you can get without wire. Have you checked JCPenneys or some online sites? If you decide to go through with it, make sure you consider all the risk and that it is something that YOU really want to do for yourself. The cost can be very expensive also, in fact over $5,000. I wish you the best.

Not a very supportive post!  I used to be a 34C and went up to 42DDD and now 34C and I can support her desire because they are a wrinkled empty C with the volume all at the end........

JMHO........

I know my post sounds like my husband is pushing me to have my breast done. I guess I should have said....I asked him to help me figure out what I seem to be most "upset" about since losing all the weight.

It also doesn't seem like I have that big of a problem just seeing the facts (38C to 34 C). I guess I should have explained better. Looking at me without a bra you would probably guess that I wore an A cup. My sister and I went shopping for my first new bra after losing all the weight and felt like I would wear an A or B max. However, because of all the skin I could not get it all in the A or B cup. All the skin fits inside a C, but there is no shape to them at all. I can lay down and they are almost completely flat. I feel and look like a man when laying down. I'm so bummed over the entire thing! I guess I was silly to think a ps would help me for so little money.

Thanks for posting.

I can relate 500%.  Right now I am looking for a bra with SMALL cups and BIG width on the sides.. having a hard time.  I have a lot of skin and now volume.. it pools at the bottom of the B cup I wear.

Where in Tx are you? Im in Brownsville and hve found a PS in Edinberge (sp) who will do a lift and implants for 6200. I had a belf lift (like a body lift) done in San Antonio but the doc wanted nearly 10000 to do my boobs. I also have a friend in Amarillo who got her tummy and boobs done for 11. so I think you can find a good PS who will do it for pretty close to your 5000. Maybe you only need implants?? I actually had a lift and implants 10 yrs ago but after breastfeeding my last baby and losing a bunch of weight, I need them re done. I know how you feel about a swimsuit. I have such a hard time finding one that makes my boobs look ok. I wish I could talk my husband into letting me have mine fixed before summer! lol  BTW you look awesome in your after pictures!    Brandi
