Hello all,

I have been off my pain meds no matter how much pain I may feel since Saturday at around 6am, because cannot stand this feeling of life just whizzing me by, while I just sleep. Anyways...that's not my question, my cencern is...

I had the ba/bl done an per the surgeon and my littlke ID cards got two 475CC implants filled with saline to 525ccs. Now, that is great, except for the fact they start at about 3 fingers under my shoulders, so they are VERY VERY VERY high up and are swollen to the sides like under my underarm on each side respectively. PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS NOT GOING OT STAY THIS WAY!!! I look like a guy on streriods!!!! Far from the breasts I wanted!! Will they come down some and start looking like boobs anytime soon, and if so, WHEN???????

Thanks for your help I am truly frustrated to think I went through this and am enduring pain and will end up looking like a circus freak!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLIES!!!!1

The only plastics that I had where I had terrible swelling was my BL/BA and I've had a lot of plastics.  I had 475 CC implants also, but they are silicone gummy bear.   I swelled so bad that my chin hit my boobs when I layed down, my arms and hands kept falling asleep, and I looked HUGE!   As in Pamela Sue at her very biggest.  I gained 15 pounds with that surgery!   After 1 week, the swelling went down, and then it would come and go depending on activity.  I LOVE my breasts.  They are absolutely perfect now, 2 years later.  I think it was at about the 6 week mark that they stopped being Frankenboobies and started looking normal and dropped.  I did not have a binder because of the swelling and was told to ice constantly, over, under and in the armpits, but to NOT use ice directly on the implants or incisions.  Hope you are just like me and end up with beautiful results.  I have pictures on my profile.

Hang in there!!!    Definitely call the sugeon tomorrow and let them know what is going on.  With the swelling can come pain.  I actually had the opposite.  I was numb.  It was the least painful surgery I had, although I did developed an Ileus (bowel obstruction) after that surgery.

You're going to be swollen for a while.  I had BL/BA done on January 16th and about 1 week later my PS told me to start massaging them and "pushing" them down into the pocket a few times a day.  I also have saline, although mine are a little smaller at 300ccs.  It will feel good to massage them trust me.  At about the 6 week mark is when the right one looked great.  Unfortunately for me, the left one retained a lot of fluid and scar tissue formed (which I'm prone to) and the implant didn't settle down.  I just had my revision about 10 days ago and now, it looks great.  I'm wearing a breast binder for another couple of weeks, but now I have true symetry.

Give it some time and they will settle down.

Thank you for your reply and your honesty!!! I se the surgeon again in two weeks and he said there we would speak of a possible belt binder thing for the top of my chest if they didn't start moving down...we'll see!

My left one is "stuck".  Best way I can describe it.  Please explain what the revision entails.  Do they open you up completely again or just down the vertical incision?  I know this is gonna have to be done and I am putting the surgeon on the mat for this because I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING he told me to do and I complained after the first 3 days that he stitched it to the bottom of the incision.

Why is it we all know how to use our tool, but refuse to do it?

My revision entailed my PS recutting on the incision under the breast - not completely, I'd say about 2 inches and draining what little fluid was in there and then breaking up a TON of scar tissue, which I'm prone to do, and pulling the implant down into the pocket.  He then put a drain in which he hadn't done the first time cuz he didn't know I would retain so much fluid.  My right one settled right into place.

In my case, it had nothing to do with what my PS did.  It was my body's reaction to the surgery.  I retained a lot of fluid on the left side, which he had to do a little more work on cuz that was the flabbyier boob after all the weight loss, and because of the fluid, the scar tissue formed and the implant didn't have a chance.  My doc went in fixed it and now it looks great.

How long ago did you have your surgery?  Did you have a lift and implants or just implants?

End of February and I had a lift and implants.  It feels like he literally stitched the bottom of the implant at the bottom of the vertical incision.  It visually still looks like a inverted stitch if I lift up the breast and you can feel thats where the implant is "stuck".  Driving me nuts.

Why is it we all know how to use our tool, but refuse to do it?

Mine still kind of does that when I lift up the breast which makes sense because of the type of surgery.  That doesn't bother me so much as I just wanted them to be the same size and shape.

I can't believe he would sew the implant to the bottom of the vertical incision that just makes no sense to me.  Is your doc talking about doing a revision?  Do they look even in the mirror - both round and settled down?

They are not the same.  The right one is PERFECT.  The left one is and looks stuck.  The last appt he said lets give it some more time to see if it drops.  I do the massage MANY times a day but it wont go down because it cant, so I go back in 2 weeks and this time I will push to get it fixed.

Why is it we all know how to use our tool, but refuse to do it?
