Breast Lift Questions
I'm wondering what I can expect after the BL as far as appearances go.
Post puberty I was around a 36D...and then put on some weight, popped out 3 babies, nursed all 3 babies....and at my biggest, while nursing, was a 44G
After RNY I am now down to a 36/38D but they are quite saggy from all the nursing and point in every direction but straight!
So......if I just do a BL...what can I expect? what exactly happens during a BL? Will they just pull them up? Does some of the fat get removed? Will I still be a 36D...or something smaller?
My hope is to not have to wear such a supportive bra. Right now I need the thick straps...and I'd very much like to someday wear spaghetti strap tanks without worrying about the bra strap being so much thicker.
Will I even need a bra after the BL? I mean, I know I'll wear one....but will they just sort of support themselves?
I was always a little bigger on one side...is this something that could be corrected wtih just the BL? Or would I need augmentation too? I really don't want to add any implants...I think there's plenty of tissue there to work with.
Okay, that's enough questions for now...

I am also getting a BL with my anchor cut TT on the 27th of this month - in speaking with my surgeon, we worked through what I am looking for and what he expects he can do. I used to be a 56L (no typo) and now wear 38DDD due to all the extra skin I have - my girls are WAY south. I will be able to wear a tank top with no bra, wear the 'cute' bras when I want to - the only thing he impressed on me is that because I don't have a lot of breast tissue left, I won't have a lot of fullness at the top - that would require an implant - but to me, that's the 'porn star' look - so I am not interested in that.
Hope that helps - good luck to you!!

Insurance paid for mine & about 1 lb. was removed from each side. In shaping them, my surgeon took into account the fact that I am tall with a medium build. He was concerned with not having them too small.
The tt & br changed my center of balance back to normality which makes for a lot of back, shoulder, & neck relief.
I think that you'll be delighted with your lift.
Good luck.

They were always big - so I am looking forward to having them smaller and perkier... I will know tonight (the bandage is coming off) what they may look like in the future (I expect some swelling so it may be a few weeks before they are like they need to be.

I've just completed my breast lift surgery and am happy to share my story. I lost 170# after gastric bypass and mine were not only extremely asymmetrical, but sagged to my knees. I'm happy to share photos with before and after and answer any questions you might have. Email me privately at [email protected] as I rarely check OH. As for the support issue, you will have to wear a post-surgery bra for several weeks, but after that, you can wear cute little bras that are more for looks - it's LIBERATING!!

I just had my BL and TT, and I too was very large before GB. I was a 44 DD then when I lost my weight I went down to 36/38 D. I was very deflated on the top of my breast, I actually thought I need a reduction because they were so big, but my Dr said I had enough tissue for a lift. Any how I had my lift on may 5th and my recovery has been phenonminal, no pain what so ever. The results so far have been great, if he does a good lift you wont need a bra. My dr did make my areaol alot smaller but your nipples still do pertrude so in other words if you don't mind the nipple itis look then by all means go braless. I have gone braless but agin beware of nipples. I still have my nipple sensation. I think that since your Dr will give you the lift, you wont need a bra with all that support becasue they will stand on their own. Oh and me too I was bigger on one side too. He tried to make them as symetrical as possible but one is a tad bit bigger than the other , I too thought I would need an implant cuz I lost so much tissue, but your Dr. shouldve already told you if you have plenty tissue to stand on their own. Did you already see a plstci surgeon? Get back to me Rachel
