A Special Guest This Saturday

Bob Moore, a noted environmentalist and very interesting individual, has agreed to speak about the early history of Galveston Saturday morning.  He will focus on the epic journey, hardships, and ultimate survival of one of the most important figures in early Texas history who roamed the very beaches I hope all of you who attend can enjoy, almost 500 years ago !.  It's a fabulous story of dedication, faith, and persistence. Sound familiar, folks ?

Also presenting will be noted lap band surgeon Dr Richard Wilkenfeld and Dr Erik Wilson, who will be talking about some of the newer innovations in bariatric surgery like the incisionless TOGA procedure, for which he is conducting clinical trials.

Clinical psychologist Mary Jo Rapini and "heavyweight yoga" specialist Abby Lenz will also be there, along with their books.

Members of the Galveston support group will be in attendance, and I am really glad to see them make it out.
