Well - we did the LBL, Brachioplasty, medial thigh lift and boob scars this morning - took about 20 minutes for all that real estate....arms hurt - he passed 4 times to get them to lighten the most....but no lidocaine cream etc. - and it wasn't bad.   Everything looks darker now - which is what's supposed to happen.....it heats and breaks up the hemoglobin in the scar....so I'm going to look like hell for a few weeks - glad I did this after my trip to Georiga *(which was wonderful!!!!  I fell in love with Marietta!)....just got back last night.....exhausted - happy and heartbroken all at the same time.....so hard to say goodbye.......hope everybody is well.   Susan

Hi Susan,
Can't wait to see pictures in a few weeks of how the scars changed.  I've already bought the subject up to the surgeon who did my arms.

So glad you are happy after your Georgia trip.  I'm sure it was real hard to leave and go home...did you already make plans to see him again soon?  I hope!

Take it easy today about all your laser zapping.....

Susan,

Thanks for posting this. What is the name of the laser treatment that helps make scars lighter? I don't know much about this but am intrigued.

I hope that you will let us know how this works for you. Thanks for sharing!

The scars need to be pink to red - so not too late postop - it won't do anything to scars that are already faded......it can flatten raised scars etc. - but again - there has to be some pigment to absorb the laser........right now I look all freshly cut........scary again......but apparently that's the effect he wanted - without it there wouldn't be any improvement......Susan

Very interesting...my chiro does laser but its one for inflamation and it really helps, she said it regenerates the cells and such and my scar does look pretty good for 2 months out...Get some pics when it starts looking better.  That's fantastic there is something out there.  Do you know the name of the laser or the program he uses?

So glad to hear you had a great time in Marietta...we should have gotten together for a drink!  Next time for sure..that is if there's a next time.  Keep your chin up, heartbreaks are not fun.
