9 months post op LBL with auto butt aug

Hi,

I had LBL, TT, Inner Thigh lift (upper only not the vertical), BL and Butt auto augmentation on 12.29.08

I was a size 2 and now can just squeeze into 4's.  Who would have thought.  I do still have swelling, some days are worse then others. 

But, yes, my thighs are bigger.  i even ended up with saddle bags.  My first surgery I did not have enough fat, but he put in as much as he could.  I did get the back flap and that part is great.  I need a little on the bottom, SO..... at stage 2 which is next week or at stage 3 he will lipo my saddlebags and give me a little more in the boote'.

The worse area for me was the butt and upper back thighs, way wrinkly skin but very little fat, muscle but not much else.

I have lots of before and afters, you must be a friend to see.  So ask to be a friend and I will add you.  I love to hear from others who have had the auto augmentation.  How is your sensation of the butt?  It has been very weird feeling, but has gotten alot better.  Kindof hard to describe.  Do you find that at 8 months out you are "feeling" more normal?

is the 2 to 4 size because of swelling or bigger thighs or what do you think caused it to go up a size?  I'm 5 weeks post-op and am freaking out because at 2 weeks post op I could tightly fit into my "fat jeans" (size 4-5) and now there's a 4-inch gap between the buttons!!! the thighs (even swollen) fit better in the pants, but my TUMMY - it's pooched out like I'm preggo or something . When will it go down and go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel fatter now than before surgery :-(. 

Hang in there girl, I went through the same thing. I had to borrow FAT jeans from my sister because none of mine fit me. Pre-op I was wearing a 6-8 and had to borrow a pair of her 11's due to the swelling. I thought for sure that I would lose a significant amount of weight post op and I actually gained. I guess I was off for a month, totally inactive and sat around for obvious reasons in a recliner most days.

Once the swelling was gone I was HOPING to fit back into my 8's which I did but no way will I wear the 6's again. Since I had butt flaps put in with my attached skin it obviously caused my butt to be "OUT" a bit more which will not allow for the smaller size.

You will get better, they told me to wait 6 months for the final results which was really difficult to do. It is not an overnight shrinking process like we all hope for. You body has been put through a very traumatic situation and has to heal. Best wishes, it will get BETTER! PROMISE!

Hi, yeah I think it is the swelling.  I have had days where I can sqeeze into my 2's, then I can't even wear them.

One day I'll wear a pair of slacks for work, then next day the same slacks don't even close at the top.  It is craziness.  I am 4 months out now and I am one of the patients that will probably deal with swelling for a long time! Darn it....

My tummy will pooch out above my belly button more then below.  I have taken my measurements and my waist size will change up to 2 inches sometimes.  I hope it all settles down soon.  :-)

I LOVE nice descirptive emails from others who have experienced the same. Now with the butt. I started with no rear and was VERY concerned reading that people are dissapointed after a LBL because or the butt being pulled even tighter. I was ONLY his 2nd butt flap procedure but I am very happy with it. I didnt have much skin to use so it gave me just a little extra which was enough for me-though I wouldnt have complained with more.

My sensation in my butt is fine...I CANNOT RUN however. The moment I run my entire incisional line goes tingly and numb which is hard for me because pre op i was enjoying running. It is VERY ODD! I also cannot ride a bike, it hurts. I have most feeling back except the area below my belly button is still incredibly numb but that does not matter to me, at least I can see my belly button now! HAHA. I will go and add you as a friend, would love to see your progress!

Yes, that is why I got a butt aug.  I did not want a flat butt and then I wouldn't have any fat/tissue to do something later. 

I used to run as well.  Although I started to have knee trouble, I would have liked to go back to jogging.  I will need to take up something else anyway.  I notice now when I run my butt does kinda feel soar when it bounces with me up the stairs. 

I basically figure it will be a good 2 years for everything to settle in.  The numbness and everything.
