Arm Lift Cost

I went in for my 6 week post op for my body lift today and everything looks great! I'm ready to move on to the next step which is my brachioplasty. I got a quote and was wondering what most of you guys paid as far as just the surgeon's fees. Not the facility/hospital and anesthesia fees.

Thanks! :)

All the quotes I got were between $4,500 - $8,000 but that did include hospital and anesthesia.  I paid about $5,500 and I believe there was about $2,600 for the Hosp and Anesthesia.

Hope that helps....if you want me to pull my files I can give you a better breakdown on what I actually paid.....just let me know.

My PS quoted me $3,900. That's just his fee. My PS coordinator said it's below what he usually charges for brachioplasty which is $6,000 since I signed on for this "skin removal" process in 2006 with my BL/BA. Meaning $3,900 was the 2006 price. I thought I was getting a really great deal but now I'm wondering...

Mine was pricey at $14K but I wonder if that is because of the fact that I was getting insurance approval.  Since insurance approval does not always mean that the insurance will pay all of what a surgeon might charge, do some surgeons ask for more because they know they will end up settling somewhere in between with the insurance companies.  SOME surgeons may work with you cost-wise if they know you are paying out of pocket or if you have had prior surgeries with them in the past.

surgery prices depend on where you are. like what state you are in. I  know it is more costly in CA then here in PA

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons have a list of average surgeons fees on their website.  But remember when looking at those numbers they do not include any facility or hospital charges and that they are averages for the nation.  Just click on the link and about halfway down the page you will see average surgeons fees.   http://www.plasticsurgery.org/Media/Press_Kits/Procedural_St atistics.html

I have not had my surgery yet... it's next month, but the surgical fee for mybrachioplasty is $3000. This is a discounted rate, as my PS gives a discount to RNY patients. His regular fee is $4100.
