Going Back to work within 2 weeks- What can i wear?

June 29th I am having a tummy tuck lower and above the belly button so i will have an anchor cut i think you call it.  As well i am having a breast lift.  The doctor said i should be able to be back at work within two weeks.  I am an office manager.  This doctor says he does not use drains. He uses a stitching method inside that takes the pressure off the long incission and does not leave big pockets for the fluid to accumulate. It has been a success for him for over 10 years.

My question with what i am reading on here is the swelling.  what will i be able to wear if i return to work within two weeks?  Just my larger sized cloths or will they bother my incissions?  Or should i maybe buy some pants and loose tops like Nurse's for a few weeks?

Thanks for your advice.

I wear yoga pants or nicer sweats/ active wear over my binder - that way it is stretchy and doesn't rub. So far it's worked great.

Hi Wendy,

I have been wearing yoga pants and jogging pants but not like we might remember from 10 years ago.  they are very light and lose so no over heating and easy to put on and off.  My surgeon does the same sort of stitching so I have no drains either.

Maxine how are you making out with the way the doctor does the internal stitches ?  I have not heard of anyone else on here mention they have had it this way and no drains.  The doctor said once in a freak time he has to go in and take fluid out by needle but just a few times.

He is not doing my stomcah muscles either he said they are tight enough which surprised me as well as no lipo.  I had been working out at the gyn with weight i guess it  payed off.

Take care of yourself and thanks for the response.

Sounds like we have the same surgeon lololol...but truthfully I am happy I have no drains and all has been well except last night I took ibuprofen for pain and vomited like crazy then tore a stitch but when I checked it was only old blood so it must have just been there I am good though over all hope I make sense

I had internal stitching and super glue for mine - I had 9 drains but they were all out by day 5 or 6 (while I was still in the recovery center). He never sends anyone home with drains. My drains were more because of the lipo than the LBL.

I love it - I healed SOOO much faster. I have one fluid pocket that if it doesn't work down on it's own he'll extract w/ a needle in sept at my follow up. It's smaller than a half-dollar on my inner thigh but the incision is completely healed over and it doesn't hurt at all.
