Swelling and weight gain after plastic surgery.

In the last few months I have gotten swelling back in the areas (waist, lower back) where I was swollen after plastic surgery. I am not sure what the cause is but did have my gall bladder removed in January laparoscopilly and thought that having my abdomen inflated with gas may have caused it.

I have contacted the surgeon who conducted the gall bladder procedure ( he just happens to be the same surgeon who did my weight loss surgery in 2004) and he has not heard of a laparoscopic procedure causing something like this before. I have also contacted my plastic surgeon and he has not heard of something like a gall bladder surgery causing this either.

Has anyone heard of such a thing?

Also, with this swelling I am heavier than I have been since I was losing weight after my weight loss surgery but am not sure if all my weight gain is from swelling or if it might be weight gain from diet as well.

You may have read my other post from this morning asking for advice on my outer hips. I am now wondering if anyone who gains weight (fat) from diet after having had weight loss surgery and plastic surgery , will see that weight accumulate in any specific areas of the body?

The reason I ask is because my waist is NOT any bigger now than it has been since I stopped losing weight but my hips are a problem spot. I am going to look back through old photos to see if my hips have gotten bigger but wonder if it is possible to gain weight in my hips but not my waist? Would the surgical procedures somehow dictate where fat is stored later in life?

Thanks again for listening and thanks for the feedback.

when you have a TT fat cells sre removed from what I have been told is you will not gain fat in the area where the fat was removed fro it will go to other areas of the body, well if this is true & I gain weight I could be in trouble the fat will come out of my calfs & my  breasts and my forearms

I've heard the same thing, the fat won't collect in the area it was removed from so it lands somewhere else.  Now that I think about it, I should have the fat removed from everywhere but my AZZ so that if I gain some weight it all goes there!  Save a ton of money by not having to do a butt lift or implants!

So in theory I could have fat removed from every part of my body and never gain weight again? Whoo Hoo!!!

Kidding of course.
