Met with the plastic surgeon on Monday for a full abdominalplasty.  She wants to do a full abdominalplasty as opposed to a panniuclutomy.  (my spelling stinks),  However, my doctor is concerned the insurance company won't approve the full abdominalplasty.     The doctor should be submitting the pre-auth request to the insurance company today.  I am praying that they approve it with no problem. I had to fight them for my gastric bypass surgery, so I am praying that I won't need to for this one.

Alot of insurances will not approve a full abdominoplasty unless it is being done in conjunction with a hernia repair.  But hopefully yours will get the green light.  If not, did the surgeon tell you what you would have to pay out of pocket to have the muscles done when he does the panniculectomy?

I just had a panniculectomy 3.5 weeks ago, you can see my pics on my profile.  Good luck.
