I'm so sorry you are feeling bad..........I'd be depressed too. I'm going to guess it must be a temporary gain due to the swelling. Did you ask your surgeon about it?
Hang in there, I bet you will shrink down real soon.

I didn't have an LBL, but had extended TT, lipo and hernia repair 9 weeks ago and when I came home I had gained 8 lbs. I had 8 LBS removed, so was bummed. I am now 12 lbs below my surgery weight, so it will come off. I am still swollen, so expect to lose even more. Don't dispair!! Good luck, Nancy

I had an LBL on 2 April and am starting to get depressed, as well. They took 6.5 pounds off and I'm down about 8 pounds total from surgery date but still can't imagine getting into my clothes.
The first couple weeks weren't bad but then my tummy started swelling and now I look 3 months preggo most of the time- firm, bloated preggo just starting to really show kind of look... UGH!!!!!!!! It's not hot or infected but I dont have an appt with my surgeon now until Sept for my 4 month follow up. I sure hope it goes down soon though. Working in sweat pants for much longer just isn't going to cut it for me, even if my office is trying to work with me.

Hi Cass,
Thanks for sharing. Sorry you are still swollen and not fitting into your clothes......it would depress me too! The bright side is it is temporary and soon the swelling will start to go down. I've read so many posts where people say all of a sudden the swelling starts to dissipate and some say pretty quickly. I hope it goes quickly for you!
Thinking of you......sending best wishes.
Ruth
