Another Post-Op question Re: Scars healing/fading
I got the 4 inch wide gelzone, they are quite a bit thicker and sturdier than a ACE bandage, the inside is like gel. And they have velcro tabs. Not sure how it would work on inner thigh. Check the website for the type of wraps they have. You are supposed to use with silicone which is also supposed to help scarring. I think massage helps too.
The wrap I have, if I cut it in half would probably go down my inner thighs but you would have to have some way (like maybe an ACE to wrap it on??). That makes sense about the inner thigh scar being concerning since it would show in dresses, shorts or swimsuit. Best of luck to you, maybe someother folks who have had the inner thigh work will have some ideas. I have heard that surgery is more difficult since it is in such a delicate area.

Hi ruth,
i think at 4 months you should be okay with moving around really well. I do have swelling still at 4 months out. Certainly is much improved. But everyone is different! Butt Aug, i would expect more swelling then others who only have LBL.
As far as scars, mine are still red and purple in some places. My RNY scars were pretty much gone by 18 months out, so i am expecting the same with my PS scars. But at 4 months you can definately see them. Boy shorts should be perfect. i actually really like the look in my boy short undies. the butt looks nice and rounded....
how exciting a vacation. I don't plan on any until next year after my year of PS! My husband and I will deserve one or two!

Hi Kelli!
Thanks for letting me know about your scars...I appreciate your sharing.
I'll have to check out a pair of boy shorts. As I've gotten smaller and smaller I've really gotten into buying "cute" panties (instead of my usual granny panties) but I haven't tried any of the boy shorts cut yet.
I didn't do my annual cruise last year. I normally go sometime between mid Nov - mid Dec but last year I had my breast reduction in the middle of Nov so I really want to go this year!! Plus I'm hoping I can show off the new SMALLER body on my next cruise.
Thanks
Ruth
