Who is the best plastic surgeon in Dallas

I want to get an abdominoplasty but not sure which surgeon to use???? I have looked at Dr. John H. Alexandar but he is not a board certified plastic surgeon???? He is a bariatric surgeon that does plastics..... This scares me a little bit. I have read about him and have not read anything bad, so I don't know if I am over reacting???? I have met with him and he seems very knowledgeable and makes me comfortable, but is that enough????

I think it is a very personal choice in who you chose to do your surgery...but I can tell you that there is NO WAY that I would have someone that specializes in something else to perform miracles on my body.  I really believe that surgeons that do plastic surgery are artists...and there is no way I would want someone that doesn't have 7 years of specialized practice working on me.

Dr.Paul Pin is a good PS. I mean he done my breast red in 01 and did a excellent job also done my sister's as well. I'm scheduled for a LBL on 5/21.

There is no other plastic surgeon I want working on me then Dr. Christine Carman Stiles. She recently performed a panniculectomy on a very dear friend of mine and I swear her technique is brilliant (and both my friend and myself were SSMO at time of WLS so we have/had lots of skin to be removed). She made the prettiest incisions and smoothest tummy I've ever seen after a panniculectomy that wrapped around damn near to the extent of a LBL. You should definitely check her out if you're considering PS!! Plus she works with insurance. Can't beat it!

it is your choice but  would you let a plastic surgeon do your gastric bypass.that would scare me would you let a general surgeon do a hysterectomy. just be careful

I have not met with Dr. Kasden but will look him up. I have seen some of your work and think you are awesome! I wish you were in Dallas! See my insurance has approved me uner Dr. John Alexander to have the abdominoplasty and to be frank I am scared that if I change surgeons that when the new surgeon applies for approval it will be declined? However, Dr. John Alexander is not a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and frankly I have heard that is something you should want your surgeon to be if you are having this type of surgery. Hi.  First, I would insist that you see only a board-certified plastic surgeon for your care.  Skin excess after weight loss is not an ordinary problem and takes special attention and experience to correct.

As for approval from insurance, the company does not generally care WHO does the work so long as they are in network or you have out of network benefits.  You may have to go through a little extra paperwork is all.
 

Get a few opinions for sure, you deserve the best possible results.
