Well it's been just over 4 weeks since I had the lipo on my thighs and the brachioplasty done. Physically I'm doing well. I am still thrilled with the way the incision looks and is healing. I am however still disappointed the the size of my arms........I firmly believe the surgeon could have taken off more. My left arm is definitely smaller than the right. When I brought it up he said he could do some Lipo if I want to "contour" them more....but then I'll just have loose skin again! I just don't understand why he didn't do lipo on the arms the day he did the surgery...
The nerves are healing so I'm getting some strange pains and sometimes they are pretty strong but the good news is I can reach and stretch much further than before and the armpits are starting to "loosen up"...thank goodness!
I know for sure they are MUCH better than they were before surgery.........I don't have HUGE wrinkled batwings flapping all over anymore but I am somewhat disappointed. I told the surgeon I'll hold my final decision on the results until more swelling is gone from the right arm. For some reason the right arm has remained much more swollen than the left.
My thighs......still some swelling on the thighs but all the bruising is gone. The good news is I no longer have to wear the compression garment 24x7....... I have to wear it when I'm active/out and about/exercising, etc but I can sleep without it and if I'm just resting during the day I need to wear, although I probably will.

Oh wow, well, we had brachio about a week apart. I have 5 weeks already from brachio. Your wounds look great! They seem like they'll be gone in maybe a few more months, they are so light at 4 weeks. I also love how my wounds are healing. The doctor did my cuts to where it's hidden and could only be seen if you extend your arms kinda backward. I'm trying not to judge how my arms look yet, maybe at 6 months I'll think about a revision, if needed. I am still in some pain with my arms (mostly forearm, pits and elbow) , they too can get strong and still need pain killers for them. Are you still on your pain meds? I have garments on from armpit to wrist that are used for lymphadema patients, they are super tight. Doctor told me i'm suppose to have them on one more month, because of a crease i have in one of my arms that i had prior to brachio. If i take these garments off, i get more pain and almost like burning sensation. I explained this to the doctor and he told me its normal and it was due to the swelling. Do you also get that? I dunno, i just wish i could go with out these garments, it can get pretty hot wearing them.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
You look absolutely amazing! I looked at all of your photos again and you are truly stunning and I applaud you on your accomplishments.
We are always the first to judge ourselves and not be 100% satisfied. I had brachioplasty last November (5 monts ago) and think my arms are too skinny...especially compared with my lower arms. I sometimes call them my "Popeye Arms". However, I would take them anytime compared to my "90-Year Old" arms that I had last summer! Today I'm not ashamed to wear something sleeveless and am looking forward to the summer and showing them off. By summer, you should feel the same way. Enjoy your amazing accomplishments and be proud of all of your hard work.
