I was just denied by UHC for my panni removal. Can u give me some insight on the info your ps sent in. I am going to appeal but I sent pictures, ltrs of treatment. I want to have everything in order for my appeal. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there - sorry to hear you were denied.

My PS had pics of my panni AND my rash - did you have pics of both?  also - what grade did your doc rate your panni?  One thing my ps had me do - I was EXPERT at holding my stomach IN - so for the pics I actually had to LET GO and push OUT - BIG difference, believe it or not.

As for the letter - the length of time for the course of treatment may be at issue, I had several months of rash info and medication.

A good back office staff should be able to work the appeal to get you through.

I don't think my pcp letter was good enough. Although i had been seeing him for over 3 mos for treatment he didn't seem like he wanted to help so. I am going to see a derm for a few months, and have my gyn write a ltr for the appeal and see what happens.  they had pictures and a ltr from pcp and ps. I don't know what they rate my panni as, but I would rate it as high as it gets....lol
