Belly Button or NO belly Button?

I got a sun tattoo around my new belly button and show it off every chance I can.  My Plastic Surgeon uses my before & after belly pictures in his presentation now.  I love my new belly button, looks better than my original did.

I also have a new BB.  I am looking forward to putting a Tatoo around it and had thought of a SUN too.   Is your picture on your surgeon's site?  I would love to see it.

i wish i had told them to go farther out on the belly for mine or just not had one, had my body lift 2 weeks ago and my belly button is so raw and nasty inside, i sit at night with a fan blowing into it to keep it dry and not irritated

Thanks for everyone's thoughts on this.  I'm not sure I have decided yet but I am encouraged by some of your posts.  I do like the idea of the tattoo although with the big scar running up my belly doesn't really sound as "cute"! ;-)  I just hope I can look half as good as some of you do!!  Thanks for sharing.

I am 9 weeks out from an extended TT, muscle repair, lipo and a baseball size umbilical hernia repair. Due to the extensive surgery, my PS was unable to save my belly button. During my initial conversation with him, there was a discussion about not having a belly button and the more I thought about it, my original belly button was so ugly and I hated it, I thought I really wouldn't miss it. I didn't know he couldn't save it until after the surgery, but so far I haven't missed it. There will be no showing of this old belly anyway, haha!! Good luck with whatever you decide, Nancy

Hi M.E., I still have quite a bit of swelling, so don't know yet just how flat my tummy is, but I do know that I am really happy that I don't have all that flab hanging. I had about 8 lbs. removed, so by that you know that I had a lot. I have decided that I would have had more removed if I had opted to have a T cut or anchor cut (or whatever it's called), but I didn't want to have a scar down my belly. I really didn't take any before pictures, too depressing, haha. Good luck, Nancy
