I have been scheduled for an endoscopic brow lift and upper/lower blephoplasty.  Anyone have any idea how long I will be out of commission for this?

Red, I had the full coronal brow with lower eyelid - didn't need the upper.  You can look at my photos and guage the progress but I was out in public after two weeks (with concealer under my eyes) and back in the gym full time after three weeks.

The bruising goes away rather quickly but the actual results take months to see fully.  I had my work done in October and I think I've finally peaked with my results.  It is a very high payoff in terms of results for these surgeries.  I'm sure you will be very happy with your results.

Ciao,  Donna

PS  When are you scheduled?  I hope I don't miss it - I'm leaving for Europe for work next week.

Donna-
Thanks for the information.  I am scheduled for June 24th surgery and admit on June 23rd.  My only concern was that DH has decided to have DS surgery and is hoping for a surgery date in July.  From the sounds of it, if he goes for a mid to late July date, I should be fine.

Red,  I honestly don't see why you both couldn't go in the same month.  Unless you're overly sensitive about black eyes, I wouldn't worry a bit about your own recovery - it's about 1 on the pain scale.  I went to see my surgeon several times when my face was still swollen (I had the brow, eye, facelift, and neck lift - so lot's of stuff done at the same time) and bruised and I wore my shades and felt perfectly comfortable.

I don't know about you, but my WLS (VSG) was also an easy surgery.  A 44 minute surgery, home in under 24 hours and back at the gym in two weeks.  DH should do fine.

Good luck to you and DH.  I'll be back by then so I'll check in with you. Can't wait to see the results - I'm sure you'll be even more BEAUTIFUL.

Oh, thanks Donna.  We will be traveling to Omaha for DH's surgery so I want to at least be presentable.  But like I said it sounds very doable.  I hope you have a wonderful time and a safe trip.

Thanks Shirl.  I appreciate the information.  I am certainly looking forward to getting rid of this tired look.  If I had my druthers I would have preferred to have the lower face/neck lift first -- but I am not going to complain at all.

Red,
Why cant you do the lower first ,,,If I had it to do over , I would have too as that made a HUGE difference to me ..  NOT happy with my eyes but ok...BUT THEN a different PS who was A QUACK did the eyes .  HE was alot cheaper and I saw why ...  NEVER settle on just cheaper ,,,CHEAPER is for a reason usually..
