hi all, I made it! 2 nights in the hospital, and left there late yesterday afternoon....7 pounds taken off my tum, and about half pound off each leg.

freshette has been a godsend. no photos s yet, but my mons is HUGE, no really, it's big. I am flat on my tum, but my mons is really angry at me and the doctor!

not much of an appetite yet. pooping is an ordeal so it's probably good I am not eating much. Still trying to work out a CG for my legs that doesn't hurt with my drains. all 3 drains are in my mons area... still trying to work out where I am most comfortable and once I get comfy I don't wanna move. getting off the bed and off the couch is a nightmare.

I have 3 drains and the OnQ pain pump.

Stripping the drains isn't as bad as I thought and emptying them isnt' that bad...thought it would be worse.

that's it for now. take care and much love and friendship to you all

PS - my hat is off to anyone who gets their arms or boobs done at the same time as the stomach or legs.

Congratulations! Getting up and down will become easier. Make sure you have a raised toilet seat for those times when you actually can poop. Try drinking some Miralax in a cup of ho****er mixed with the juice of one lemon and a little sugar. Tastes great and is a natural diaretic. The Miralax will help you go.

I had 4 drains with my LBL and TL, so 3 isn't bad. Have a speedy recovery!

Glad to hear you're doing well hang in there the drains will be out before you know it and you'll feel so much better. I had a LBL and arms almost 2 weeks ago and had 6 drains, got the last 4 out today.

I've always taken a stool softener but started boiling water and drinking a hot spiced apple cinnamon tea every morning before I eat anything and I go everytime I drink it. You could probably drink anything hot but make sure you have an empty tummy when you drink it.
Good luck. Debi

Wow, glad to hear from you!  Only 2 days since leaving the hospital!  The Mons is SCARY isn't it.  It is naked and swollen like I don't know what. You think, will it every get smaller?  It will, just takes time.

Uhhh going poo, well i took milk of mag for 2 days (once per day) and things worked out really well.  Got regular  right after.

I did have my boobs lifted at the same time, but no implants.  I didn't feel much of anything with the boobs. I can't imagine doing the arms at the same time either.  I used them ALOT to help me get around.

Get lots of rest, ask for help!

Take care and happy recovery.

WOW you are home fast.  Glad to hear it is going pretty well for you.
I took Phillips Stool Softener and it helped get things moving nicely for me.....don't wait too long like I did (I didn't take the softener until day 6...I was miserable!)

Hope you get comfy and have a good night sleep......

Glad your home and doing well.  I know it is hard to get comfy with those stupid drains.  I slept in the recliner for the first 4 days, then I moved up to my bed but with a stack of pillows set up so I was still at an incline, makes getting up a little easier.

Did they teach you how to roll onto your side and use your elbow and arm to push yourself up so you don't hurt your belly?  I know I was most sensitive at the end of my hip to hip incision so this was a little challenging to roll onto my side but not sure what its like for you since you also have the legs to deal with.

I'm sure the mons is just swollen and in time will look great.  I know mine does and all I had done was panni removal.

Keep us posted and rest up.

Oh yeah, on the pooping thing, drink lots of water/fluids and stay away from caffeine.  It helps.
