I have not been eating very properly lately OR exercising -- and, what's worse, don't really care all that much --  but I know that with me some of it is depression from this hole in my belly from the TT complication.

Surgery itself can cause some depression, too, remember.. in addition to the other stuff you have going on.  Hang in there... and maybe look at an old "before" WLS pic of you to remind you where NOT being motivated got you (and could get you again)...?!?

I so feel you - heed the words of advise here!  I worked out yesterday and felt wonderful afterwards.  I hear you on the depression and I am on meds regardless because of my autonomic disorder...that and I have to have salt to increase my blood pressure (along with medicine)...that's part of my issue - I can't stay clear of salt because my body hasn't learned how to regulate my heart without it...

Oh well, still better off in the end!  And yeah, I think pics can motivate too!  Hope you're doing well today!

Thanks Jodi! and I'd love to be a reminder to you when you need it.  I did go work out for 1.5 hours!  I did body pump, and then core conditioning and I loved it, felt like a rock star when I finished...then the eating monster took over and I'm not too worried cause I only had 1 smoke yesterday morning and then put the patch on!  I'm fighting it and after 3 days then I'll focus on getting the food back in order!  I did go grocery shopping and bought some stuff that will be good alternatives for me, but quantitiy needs to be reduced.

Thanks for your encouragement - I think you're right we have this huge focus for so long and then its like ok what now.  Its all too much and I'll get out of it...I just have to stay active on the boards for support.

Appreciate it!  Do you have a specific date or just know its coming up??
