Did you do it?  Thoughts?
I'm more nervous about plastics than the surgery itself. :)

Dear Heidi;:
I did both procedures at the same time. No regrets what-so-ever!! The Breast lift was a piece of cake. Never any pain, discomfort or anything else. The Tummy Tuck is a more invasive procedure but I can honestly tell you that I did not have any pain. I had "The Pain Pump" for the first 3 days, probably when the pain would be at it's worse, but it really helped. I had a 5 hour surgery and then went directly to a hotel nearby for the next 3 days, and then went home . My surgery was in Folsom (near Sacramento) and 2 hours away from home, San Mateo...so I opted to stay very closed to the doctor, just in case. Well worth it!!

The results are hard to believe. I have never had this great body that I have now.... loosing the hanging belly makes such a difference in clothes...having the girls near the chest area, instead of by the waist...makes a difference to me, the most important person in my life!!!  Good luck!

Heidi.. I had them both done almost 2 years ago.. no problems. Just do as the dr's says and take it easy...make sure you have everything you need before surgery and the first few days make sure you have some help....no lifting, tugging etc.. Have a nice day. Debbie..

Make no doubt about it, this is rough surgery.  Forget about pain.  Meds take care of that.  For me it was being uncomfortable & lack of energy.  But it was the same story with gastric bypass surgery.  For me there really was little choice.  The day after surgery I felt relief with the reduction of pressure on my back, neck, & shoulders.
I followed my Dr.'s orders & actually started feeling "normal" around the 6 wk. mark when swelling dropped & energy returned dramataically.
It's 8-9 wks. now & I feel great, but still with some swelling.  Since I'm now cleared for "anything," I've begun stretching and not only does it feel wonderful, but swelling has decreased again.
This is major surgery and giving your body time to heal & recover is essential.  I also lost my appetite & lost another 16 lbs.  Taking your supplements is important.
You'll be just fine.  Be kind & gentle to yourself and very patient.  Allow your body the necessary time that it needs to recover.  Follow Dr.'s orders.
My Dr. showed me last wk. my "before" pics.  Wow!  Such a difference.  Only recently have I actually been able to totally view myself without feeling uncomfortable.  I, somewhat surprisingly, mourned the loss of my former body.   The difference was/is shocking!  In a good way.  I not only look great, but, more importantly, I feel great & have the blood tests to prove it!
So not to worry!  Be prepared & off you go!

Thank you for the honest opinion of your experience.  When I had my BA last year I went through a period of depression because i was so swollen and thought I had gained alot of weight but I didnt realize it was the sweling from the surgery.  I am having tt tomorrow and I now have a good idea what to expect so I hope that I dont get too depressed like I was before.  I HOPE!  And losing my appetite would be great!  lol

Thank you, thank you! I appreciate the insight of experience.
I do plan to have both done at once and at this point, plan on taking it very easy for as long as necessary.
(Literally - one week being pampered by my mama to start off the healing process.  After that, I've warned my family that I'll be lazing for another week at least.)

I work in a school so I have the summer off and my surger will be the 2nd week of June so I have the whole summer to recoop.

I'm still nervous but appreciate the words.

Hi
i had the lbl (lower body lift & breast aug and lift ) all at the same time. I have no regrets getting it done and it was painful but it has been almost 2 mo and i feel great. I am glad to have it done and over with and I dont have to go back and have another surgery to look forward to and start all over again. Good luck in your endeavors. I have up pictures at my site to view.
