Booty, hip, thigh!!! (and calves)  That is all I can say everytime I try to get into clothes.  Even when I was smaller (as a young teen) I have always had thick legs, calves, thighs its crazy.  I have been easily 4 sizes smaller in the waist then in the hips and will never need an butt aug as their is still a bubble I sit on everyday.  I have some junk in the trunk for sure and it has always been hard finding pants that fit and even skirts/dresses that dont look shorter in the back then in the front.  Its crazy!!!  Right now I am looking 4 months pregnant but dont have the pannus so I actually look smaller but I have such swelling in my hips/thighs that my pants are barely fitting.  I am even having a hard time getting pants to fit around my waist...never an issue before.  I have a baby shower to go to Sunday and was going to dress up my jeans but I can not seem to get them buttoned so I am stuck in the same old black pants and hope that I am not too dressed up...very casual family hosting...oh, well, my husband always says better to be too dressed up then not enough...I guess, I just love my jeans though...

I would agree w/ others...get a great tailor, I have yet to find one but isnt that what Stacey and Clinton say in "What Not To Wear"?  Always saying fit the biggest part of your body and tailor the rest.  I figure that must be what JLo does...LOL!!!

I am in that boat with you and have been my whole life no matter what size I have been. I say wait to buy clothes until you get to what will be your normal size, after swelling has stopped and fluids have drained.

One of my co-workers has become my best friend, she sews so I get things altered if I really love the clothes and if the price is to great to pass up.

That may end up being the way it is, but I can live with that. I usually look for the low rise in pants because they fit me best without any gaps in the waist while maintaining comfort in the thighs. I will be going back to have my thighs done soon but until then Fleexes are my friend.
