Large hard lump 3 months out after TL

Hello all, I had a thigh lift in jan. and about 1-2 weeks out from surgery i noticed a large hard lump under the incision, about 4 inches above my knee. It seems to be a little larger than a ping pong ball. If I stand it can be seen sticking out about 1/4 of an inch and when I sit I can run my fingers along the sides  inwards toward the leg, but is not painful.

 Has anyone ever had anything like this? The Dr said it is probably scar tissue and should go down. This was a month ago, but it has not decreased in size. I go for another check up tomorrow, but would like to hear if anyone else knows what this is.

I have a long lump down the side of my thight from the liposuction. I can feel it, but it really isn't that visible. It has definately reduced. If yours has not, then I'd be interested in hearing what the doctor says.

thanks for your response. i didn't have lipo, but did your dr say yours was scar tissue? How long did it take for yours to reduce in size?

My doctor did not say what it was, he just said it was from the lipo. It started reducing in size this week whcih is week 4 post op.

ACK! is this a trend? I have a lump about 3 inches above my knee under the incision - same thing... I figured it would go down with time since I'm only 2 weeks post op. Keep us posted!

turns out it was fluid. it didn't feel like fluid, but he said since it hadn't increased or decreased in size, he could try draining, and it worked. already looks and feels much better.
