United Health Care

Anyone get  approved for abdominoplasty or panni from UHC? I saw my ps last week and he said he would fight the insurance company for me.  I have lots of rashes  from my stomach hanging, but it's not hanging past the mons area. Lots of hygeine problems though. I have lost 100#s and it has been almost 3 years. I was denied for the same thing last year for not being medically necessary.  Anyone else?

I had UHC and they approved my panni in Dec 08.  My PS asked me to have some other docs write letters of medical necessity for the surgery to prove that it wasn't just her saying I needed it.  I had my PCP write a letter about my rashes, etc, my Chiro wrote one about the back problems I had, and my GYN wrote one about how the extra skin could cause problems with a pregnancy.  They approved me in under 10 days, which my PS said was amazing.
