How long was it before you were able to sleep on your belly after a TT?  I am a belly sleeper and am so ready for a full night sleep on my belly!!  I am about 19 days out (not quite 3 weeks).

I'm 8-1/2 weeks and am not comfortable on my belly yet.  I think it's more of when you feel comfortable, than an *allowing* you to sleep on your belly.  But do check with your doctor, he/she will be the better person to ask.

as soon as my drains were out I was on my belly that night, which was about 3 weeks post op, after 8 weeks I don't have to wear my binder but I wear it to bed at night.

You won't want to sleep on your belly for a while.  You won't hardly want to move for the first few days.  My drains were removed at about 10 days and I tried to sleep on my stomach then, but it wasn't comfortable.  I did sleep on my side though.
Now, three months later, I sleep on my stomach all the time.
Good Luck.

UGH...I know what you mean!  I'm not a belly sleeper, but I AM a side sleeper and I can't wait until I can comfortably sleep on my side.  I'm 3 weeks and 4 days and I've been turning over on my side, but I feel like gravity is working against me!  This morning, I propped a pillow behind me to support my weight and that was better.  What I'm really amazed about is that I've been sleeping through the night on my back for 3 weeks and NOT MOVING THE ENTIRE NIGHT!  It's amazing.  Before surgery, I would often wake up on my back in the middle of the night and my stomach would be hurting from all of that weight sitting on my organs.  I'd have to turn on my side to feel better.  Now there's no extra weight and I'm able to sleep fine on my back...but I still miss my side!

Wow, thanks all!  I started sleeping the full night in my bed last night and it was so nice to be out of that recliner.  I went to bed on my back but woke up a few times on my right side and then on my left side.  I still have my drain in me...3 weeks now!!  UGHHHH, I get the feeling this thing is NEVER going to come out because it is still REALLY draining!  I am still on the antibiotics because of this and 2 infections that I am fighting.  I thought that I was going to lose my belly button, but it is healing even though it is deep and wide.  Then I had a severe allergic reaction to the tape from OR and it gave me almost like a 2nd degree burn above and below where it was.  I am suppose to have a revision in about 6 months for the both of them...I wonder if I am still draining a lot because of the 2 infections?!?!?!

I am almost 6 weeks out and still cannot sleep on my tummy.  (I do have a huge open crater from where my incision broke down and necrotic tissue had to be cut out.... BUT the crater itself doesn't hurt... what hurts is when I try to roll from my side forther forward.)  It took me 3 weeks just to get out of the recliner, over 4 weeks to be able to sleep on my side for short periods of time, and 5 weeks to not have to prop myself up on pillows to sleep.

(I have a much-needed massage scheduled for tonight and know I am not even going to be able to lay on my tummy for a short period of time for that.  It's a drag.)

I am 4 1/2 weeks out from an extended tummy tuck and have just made it out of the recliner back to my bed.  I too prefer sleeping on my tummy but cannt yet do so.  I can barely handle sleeping on my side for a few hours, before I wake up all stiff and uncomfortable.  I then either roll onto my back and try to get comfy, or cave in and go to the trusty ol' recliner.  As much as I'm sooooo ready to sleep comfortably at night, any way I'd like, I suppose it's a small price to pay to be rid of the icky tummy and butt that I had before surgery.  Hang in there...you'll be back on your super flat hottie tummy in no time!

I am a year and a half from my TT with hernia repair, and can't sleep on my stomach due to how tight my belly is. It's miserable to lie on my stomach.
