i'm 5'8 and 138 and i have always had large breasts. now i have lots of skin with nothing there. my doctor recommends 550cc to fill them up. They say I will be a D. I am worried that they will be too big also.
Hi Linda, How long before your surgery did you go in and try them on? I only have one appointment before surgery. I have not tried anything on but my doc said somewhere between 350 and 400 will get me a C. I wear a C now (of course they are filled up with the skin from under my arm) but I think it looks more like an A, I am scared they will be to big to. But I also do not want them to small.
i have 350 silicone with very little breast tissue. i wanted to be a full C. i am now a 34 DD. they look good but if i had to it over again, i would probably do 300. i was debating 350 vs 325 and my PS said thats really only the difference of a few tablespoons so i said okay to the 350.
i got in trouble the first time around by requesting the smallest implant. i ended up with 190 cc saline. they didn't look proportional and did not even fill up the skin left AFTER breast lift - i decided with the redo to listen to the doctor (i had different docs for each surgery).
I was barley an A cup I ended up going with 450cc under the muscle silicone gel high profile implants. I wanted to be a full D cup but ended up a 34DD. I am very happy w/the size though. I don't think they look like DD's at all! I am 5'9 so I think I can get away with it. I would trust your ps to know what you should get. I'd bring him in pics of what you want to look like so he knows the look your going for. Good luck!

After losing around 90 lbs, my cup size only went down from a D to a C, and they didn't even look too bad when I was standing still...but when I laid down, or moved, they looked way too loose, and they felt like underinflated water balloons. I didn't want to be huge, but wanted them to feel good and firm again. I told the doc I wanted to be a full D. He gave me 275cc & 300cc implants to "try on" in a bra. There was very little difference in the appearance, so I went w/ the 300. I also had a lift, and I'm very happy. I didn't want a drastic difference, and I don't think people I run into even realize I GOT implants--they just think I look younger!
My PS told me now two women turn out the same. I can see that's true from reading the responses to your question.
Before losing 165 lbs I had been up to a 44 and 46 F. What remained after the weight loss was about a 38 long which I could fit into a DD cup bra. I told my PS that I'd always been on the larger-breasted side and that I'd prefer a full C or D cup but nothing smaller. The only question beyond that he asked was if he had to make a choice would I go smaller or bigger. I told him smaller. Before my BL/BA a month ago, he thought I didn't have much breast tissue left. When he got in there I had more than he thought. He'd brought in implants ranging from 300cc to 450cc, and told me afterward that he originally thought he'd be using 400cc to get me a D cup. Instead, I have 300cc silicone implants under the muscle. He saved what tissue he could but had alot of stretched skin to remove to get the girls to sit up properly again (lets just say that I hadn't seen my nipples without lifting the girls up in many years).
When it told me he used the 300ccs I freaked thinking I was barely going to be a C cup based on what many women have posted on the board before. I'm currently in a 38D softcup bra and will likely end up in a 36D once swelling from liposuction resolves. The fitter at Nordstroms told me that I could probably do a 34DD or a 36D by the time I can go back to wired bras at 6 months out. I honestly can't tell that they seem much smaller than the 38DD I had preop.
