Try putting white vinegar where they go if they go in the same spots. We had to do that with one of our cats and we ended up cleaning all of the carpet with it. It neutralizes their scent.

Topic: Major cat urine problem....HELP!
Hi. I have 4 cats. I have had them for 11(x2)/10 and 9 years. We have a big old house. We have been having urine problems in certain rooms for awhile. It's hard to tell who is doing it. I have tried to keep their 5 boxes clean...still peeing. Now 'they' are adding rooms and spots to the problem. I just threw out my daughter's BEAUTIFUL rug in her bedroom. Short of putting a video camera out to catch the culprit(s), I don't know what else to do. We are about to spend what we bought the house for on a major reno. If they go in the addition....!!!!!!!! I am also worried that this will upset them further. I am getting really frustrated and am ready to consider finding a new home for the culprit (whenever I find out). I NEVER thought I'd do that, but they are causing damage in the thousands $$ now. My husband is fit to be tied. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Christina

I understand your pain. I lost my little Hamlet 01/12/05. He got sick the day after christmas and went down hill from there. Ended up he had a tumor on his liver and a bad heart valve. It is very difficult to lose a pet. My prayers are with and just think of him happy and healthy as he is now. You will see him again someday. Rachael.

Other than just being naughty, it could be health issue. Your vet can also recommend a product that will work, but if its a habit that takes training.

when it was time to replace my carpets. I left the wood floors on instead now if my dog goes on the rug. i just throw the whole thing in the laundry. then clean the floor with pine sol. But i think this is a never ending problem with dogs. and as far as the dog that goes in his cage i think that is hopeless. he will never learn i dont beleive but all power to you for trying. Besides we dont train dogs they train us.

Jayne, So sorry to hear about your lost. Time will heal and remember the good times. When I lost my Iguana that I raised from a hatchling (he was 12 years old) it broke my heart. I lost my voice for two weeks. Now I can think and talk of him fondly. He brought me much joy. May God bless and help you get over your lost. Neena

I get some stuff from a janitorial supply called Uric Acid Eradicator. Clean the spot real good and spray that stuff on and let it dry. If the urine has soaked through to the pad or sub floor you may need to inject some under the carpet as well to get rid of the odor.

It's the hardest part of being a pet owner. Take care and know that he is at Rainbow Bridge with all his new friends!

Hello all, I lost my beloved Norman ****er. He was adporable, he went blind, had his eyeballs removed, all kinds of health problems, but he managed to give us all the love that he had. To give him to God was an easy decision, as in heaven I know that he can see and run around, and I know that God loved him more. He was my son and I will always love him. I need prayers at this time, as I am having a hard time dealing with this. I stopped taking my meds and vitimins and I eat hardly anything, just enough to keep me going. I have another big doggie SCOOTER and he is depressed as well, it's very hard, but I just needed some support to get through this. Thanks for any comfort that you can give!! Jayne Norman Bell 10-19-05 RIP we love you
