Glad to hear things are going well for you all. Too funny about all of our dryers. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
Anyways, yesterday was busy, but good. Learned some good info at the conference. Went home and did all kinds of chores, my 86 year old gramma is coming over this afternoon to stay at our house, so, I am off work the rest of this week to visit with her. My sister's C-Section is still scheduled for Sunday. So.... when I post Monday... I'll be an auntie!!! (again). DH is going hunting on his 2 days off, still trying to get a moose. The season is almost over.
Have a Great weekend!!!!

Well, yesterday went well...other than feeling sick with a sore throat for me. Sadie acted like a 2 yr old at her school open house....I guess she is 2 so it's to be expected. However, it worried me that she would do it for dance class too. We talked all the way to dance class that if she wanted to be in the "big girl" dance she had to listen to the teacher and do what she told her. She did pretty darn good!! Made her momma proud. She had a couple of moments when other girls were not listening that she wandered a bit but the teacher said for a first time she did great. Sooooo we signed her up and ordered the tap shoes and ballet slippers. Oooh she can't wait for those tap shoes now that she saw the other kids have them LOL. They will be in by the time she has class next Wed. Next week is bring a friend week and we've invited one of the girls from her school class whose parents are thinking about putting her in dance. We came home from there and I finished up my work.....had dinner...daddy took Sadie for a bike ride...and then I went to bed. Got some good rest. Tonight if I feel up to it we're going to a chili cookoff.
Court, we just did that to our dryer too and it works so much better! Hopefully yours is all set to go now.
Missed you yesterday Jamie...hope your day went well.
Well I am still feeling a bit rundown but I really think it is related to my allergies, not getting enough sleep, and my food choices for the past few days. Definitely got to work on that. Had a good but busy night last night. I hit the grocery store while hubby started on laundry and yard work. Fixed dinner & helped the youngest with a school project. Been telling my hubby since we moved that the dryer doesn't work right, guess he didn't believe me until he used it himself so he tore it apart in order to determine what was wrong with it. Of course the vent line wasn't hooked up right, all the hot air was leaking out & the lint was going every where. Looks like he got it all fixed up though. By the time the evening was all done I dropped into bed.
Not too much planned for tonight. I think I might just make it a relaxing evening, I think I need it. Hope you all have a great one!
Michelle, how did dance class go??
Jaime, thinking about you although I am sure you have been swamped at work.
Hope you all have a great rest of the day!
My brother in law treated us to pizza last night for dinner so we all went out. Came home & helped the oldest with her geometry and then headed off to bed. The early night & extra rest helped but I am feeling blah today, hope I am not getting sick. Grocery store & laundry on tap for tonight. Probably end up with the girlies or at least the youngest for awhile tonight since she has a school project due tomorrow and their mom does not have internet. Have a great day!!!
Sounds like you got some much needed rest, Court!! My hubby knows well that if I sit to watch tv I'll end up asleep.
Jamie, I think we'll both be holding new babies soon...how exciting!

Michelle!!!!!! We want a REPORT!!!!!!
My girlfriend is healing up good. She was back at work yesterday. The temp this morning at 6:00 is 44 degrees. The forcast temp wise, is mid 40's at night and mid to high 50's for the day's. So....... we are on the downhill slide now........ snow will be here in around 6 weeks.... that is NO JOKE. That is the cold Alaska Truth.
Hunter & I are going to go over to my sister's house tonight after I get home from work & visit with her. Hunter LOVES his cousin Josh, and they play good together. My sis is going in EARLY Sunday morning for her C-Section, and it is important to me to visit with her, before the baby arrives, cause she will have 4 boys, actually, 5 boys, if you count her husband in there too. And, now, that I have actually been a mommma once, I can understand, FINALLY, what it is all about. YOUR BABY. Period. So, hence tonight's visit

Morning!! Michelle, did you get a baby yesterday??? Jaime, I hope your friend heals quickly.
I had a good day yesterday. Work stayed steady all day and then it was off to run around for the kids. Got home & hubby fixed dinner which turned out a bit odd as the exwife and youngest ended up joining us. We settled on the couch to cuddle and watch some football and ten minutes later I was sound asleep. Hubby was okay with it though, said he enjoyed holding me. Today it was up and out the door only to get a call from the girleis needing rides to school, overslept. So I was late to work, thank goodness it isn't too big a deal in my office.
Not too much planned for today/tonight. Lots of meetings in the office so my day should fly by. Plan to do yard work tonight since they are calling for rain the rest of the week. Have a great day!!!
Court, hope you get a little relaxation in tonight, sounds like you are dur for a break.
My Friday went well, was winding down for the evening, and my girlifrind calles & says she needs me...... She lives out by my mom, almost an hour from my house.... so, I put on my cape & got in my car. Turns out, since it is the fall season here.... she has a motorcycle..... that the riding of a motorcycle is very, very limited time left, to get on & ride. Her daughter has moved into Anchorage, to go to her Freshman year of collage this year & her 2 boys (one ias 11 or 12 & the other is 6) went with their dad for the weekend, so, she was alone for the weekend, and decided to go for a ride around 6:15pm, like around 25 minutes was her plan..... she got 2 miles from her house on a 55mph road, 2 lane paved road, just taking a ride, was wearing her steel toed boots, helmet & skins (not leathers, but more protection than just a t-shirt & jeans) so, anyways...... she has oncoming traffic in the other lane.... and this HUGE white dog runs right into her lane of traffic, in front of her, she slammed on the brakes, but, she felt herself skidding, so, she released the back break, and ended up running over this big dog & killing it. In the mean time, she & her bike go down from the impact & she slides across the pavement. A couple people stopped, thankfully. On guy says "What happened?" (probably thinking drinking was involved) And she says "What? See that big dog?" And points to it, where it had landed in the ditch. The guys is like "Oh, wow!!!! Glad you are OK"
So, I get my tail out to her house, she was able to get back up on her bike & make it the 2 miles home..... called everyone she knew, and could not get ahold of anyone & then called me, since I live so far away.
I get onto the road, and called her, to let her know I wanted to check on the dog, so she did not have to. I get to the dog, it had a blue collar.... NO TAGS..... It could have had a microchip, but, I am not animal control, with one of those scanners, ya know?
So, I called to animal control, and no one was there, so I called the police, told them what happened & they said that the procedure was to call animal control & leave them a voice mail, they transferred me, and I left all of the information & exact location.
Then, got over to my girlfriend's house & she had some road rash, and a cut above her eyebrow, from the helmet impact, but she was worried about her abdomen, where she slid onit, so, off to the ER we went. They observed her, did a blood test, and an X-Ray.... released her, and she came over & stayed with me for the night. I live 10 minutes from the hospital door, and then she would not have to go back home for the night to an empty house.
She is feeling better, feels TERRIBLE about the dog, though. All I could say, is that if she had left the house 10 minutes later, someone else would have hit it.
Saturday, after I took her back home, DH, Hunter & I went to my sister's to see my gramma & uncle. My gramma is going to come over Thursday and saty with me for a few days, and in 6 days, my sister is going to have her baby.
Sorry for the novel, that was my exciting weekend, for ya!!!!
