Now, on to a more positive note..... Soup & stew are my ABSOLUTE favorite this next 6-7 months!!!!  We do normal meats like turkey, and pork.  But I like rabbit, heck, that's about the only way I like rabbit, is for stew.  We do crockpot mostly.  I like it when we get a moose, because all of the meat that is chunked up & not ground into burger, or sausage.... mmmmmmmmmmm, ha!  Yup, it is for stew!!!  We use water, and a seasoning packet that we find at the store, sometimew we end up with a different brand, but, then, veggies, and stewed tomatoes..... sometimes the potatoes don't fit!!!  Oh well.  MMMMMMMMMMM, stew.  Fred Meyer (Kroger) just remodeled a store in Wasilla, about 10 minutes from the house (we usually shop the one in Palmer, for convience) but since the re-opening, since the re-model, they are having really AWSOME sales, and but they are only like 3 days, so you goot get in there!!!!  Turkey breast 4-8 pounds is on sale right now & I am going to run over there tonight or tomorrow & and grab 2 of them.

We had time change on Sunday... and Hunter's body has not adjusted yet, so he fot up at like 4:30 on Monday, and yesterday, it was 5:00..... I told him to go in his room & play, but to just stay in his room (I have really needed a 'break' in the mornings... even 15 minutes, just to start waking up.... and HA HA HA that has been hard to come by) so, this morning, he was up early again, and FINALLY, he crawled back up in our bed & FELL ASLEEP now I have 15 minutes of **dare I say -- peace & quiet?**

Alaska has a bill in the senate to get rid of the time change twice a year.  There was a write up about it in the paper & I guess it all started during WWII... I seriously never knew that!!  Anyways, it started because of energy saving efforts.  I just thought that was interesting.

And....... did you know that Hawaii does not even have daylight savings time???  I never did, until we were there on vacation a couple years back & we havd a boat ride scheduled, and we almost missed the boat!!!

Well, enough weird facts from me!!!  Have a good day, ladies!

I can't believe my baby is 3 already.  She turned 3 last week.   We had pictures taken this past weekend and thought I'd share a few.   She's now 36lbs and 38" tall.   She's growing like a weed.

Just thought I'd share a couple of my son too...he's 17 already!!   Man I must be getting old!

Had a great night last night.   Yesterday daytime was quite trying so I was fried by the time DH got home.   Sadie had ripped the outter plastic covering off the mattress on her toddler bed.   Not sure how she managed that but I guess she wasn't tired at nap time.   Well, this afternoon she's getting her big twin bed and mommy will be out to get bedding for it later today.   Today is my normal day off but I'm working a bit of OT this morning.  Hubby and I snuck out to a movie last night.   We went to see Couple's Retreat.   It was very nice to spend time just the two of us and to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Ohhh apple cake sounds good Court.   We are delivering the cookie dough Sadie sold for her fundraiser for dance today so maybe once I get it all delivered we'll bake her some of what we bought.

Glad to see Jamie poke in yesterday.   Hope you're day is going well today Jamie!

I am ready for the weekend & counting the days.  So how are you?  Doing good here.  Had a nice quiet family night at home last night.  Baked a couple of apple cakes, one for home & one for work and just chilled, was in bed right on time and slept well.  Nothing really planned for tonight.  Should just be hubby & I, hoping to get him out on a walk with me and have some quality time together.  Have a great one!!!

Sorry you're having a tough time Jamie.   I totally understand you not being here...was just hoping you're ok.   Hopefully the new Dr will get you in and take care of things right away.  We have no snow on the ground yet...we've had it snow a few times but nothing sticking yet.  It's supposed to be up in the 50's this weekend though.   Weird...I'm hoping for no snow til just before Christmas...yeah right!!

Sorry Court...would be nice to know those things eh??   I used navy beans a 1 lb bag and I started the ham with about 12 cups of water and by the time I added the beans it was probably down to about 8 cups or so.   Somewhere between those two amounts.   Like I said I never follow a recipe LOL.

Hi ladies.... Yes, I have been MIA.... ALOT!!!!!  **Warning****   LONG......

Been busy with work, filling-in for a guy in the warehouse, he had his #2 baby on the 30th.  His first boy!!!  He will be out, and coming back next week.
My emotions have been running high, and I have been fighting the DEPRESSION monster because of all of the medical/female stuff.  (going in to talk to another doctor about possible hysterectomy) I had my DR appointment re-scheduled on me, it was originally for 10-14... they called me 9-28 to tell me the doc would be out od town... OK... fine.  so, I re-scheduled for 10-29.  I worked all morning/afternoon, left work at 2:00, just to drive to Anchorage to get there, was over 1/2 way, and they called my cell phone to tell me she had an emergency to tend to & would be out of the office the rest of the day **now remember, we are short-handed at work too** So, I was PISSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEDDDDDDD off, just trying to be civil to the lady on the phone was very difficult.  I told her that I had already been re-scheduled ONCE!!!!  And I asked since I was already 1/2 way into Anchorage.... I would wait for her, and if I could have a late appointment with her.  I was told no.  So, I then said (trying to be civil, but struggling with it) well, when can you get me back in?  Her answer was DECEMBER 16th!!!!!!!!
No ****!!??  I was beside myself!!!!  I told her I would "take what I could get"
So, I get off the phone, I had pulled off the highway while I was on the phone with the doc's office.  I then called my DH & vented (said to him I was so pissed off I could Not See Straight)
Talked to him for a minute, then, turned around & headed back towards home.
I decided that I did not want to go to that doc...... so I called my regular gynocologist (she is semi-retired, so she gave up her hospital privilidges long ago) talked to the nurse & vented... nicely.  I have known the staff fo over 9 years.  I asked if my doc referred anyone else & she said yes... faxed all of my records to the other doc's office & I have an appoinment next Monday.

Long story short..... HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

Life will get better, after these appointments!!!!  But, my PCP nicely called me in some xanax too.  that is helping... I take one in the evening when I get home.

I am here, just been BUSY with work & frustrating LIFE!!!!
DH & Hunter are doing good & Halloween was a Blast!!!!!!

Michelle & Court
Thank YOU!!!!!     STILL NO SNOW!!!!!!  It is in the forcast for tomorrow, though.

LOL I am soooo not a recipe girl.   I never follow a recipe just throw stuff in a pot and let it cook.   For my bean soup I cooked the ham bone for a couple of hours first to make a good soup base....took the meat off from it...threw in a little more ham....put in the beans some onion, some carrots....and seasoned it....salt and pepper mostly.   I let it cook on low on the stove pot all day while I worked.   It was good.   DH doesn't like soup much but he had it for dinner last night.   The leftovers are all mine....I'll probably have it for lunch today and then freeze the rest for other lunches.   I love good homemade soups.  I could use some more good recipes as well....I'll torture DH off and on and make soup.
