Yayyy Monday is over!!  I guess it wasn't too bad of a Monday.   I got a lot accomplished.  Worked my 10 hrs....went grocery shopping, put groceries away, had dinner (boughten at the store), cleaned the kitchen, cleaned Sadie's room, picked up living room, picked up office, folded laundry, and put it all away.  All that and I was still in bed by 9:30am.   Today is more work and then Sadie has her school class tonight.  No work for me tomorrow...not even any OT.  I'll be driving to Minneapolis to pick my daughter up though.   I'm just looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow.....heck even 7 am is sleeping in. 

OMG Jamie I can't believe you have it that cold already.  I'm so not looking forward to that.  It was 50 degrees here yesterday which is wayyyyyyy warmer than is normal for us.  I won't complain though.

Well I accidently deleted my first message.  Oops.  Things are good here.  Enjoying my last day off before heading back to work tomorrow.  We  have enjoyed the time off.  Celebrated our anniversary with some errands, window shopping, christmas shopping, a nice dinner out & then some romance time.  Our gifts were robes  (2nd anniversary is cotton) so we have something nice & snuggly for when we are home being lazy.  Got some painting done at home downstais, we painted til we ran out of paint but got most of the man cave done & rearranged the furniture to better accentuate the fireplace.  Got a new puppy, he is a border collie/lab mix, only 10 weeks old and absolutely adorable.  He wears out pretty easily since he is so little, always "tuckered out" thus we named him Tucker.  Spent some time with family, friends, etc.  It has been enjoyable.  I could get used to being a housewife.  Now we are starting my week long bday celebration.  Started this past weekend with dinner at my dad's, will do lunch some with friends this week, dinner on thursday my actual bday, midnight movie with a girlfriend, and then dinner next weekend at my moms.  I love a long celebration, especially if is all about me.  Got my hair cut short this week, hoping I can get hubby to get some pictures tonight so I can show it off.  Here is my new baby.

Well, here we are at Monday morning again!  Hope you all had a good weekend and got a chance to relax a bit.  We had a great weekend.   Friday we picked DH up after work and headed out of town.  We had a great dinner and then checked into our hotel.   We took Sadie swimming for a bit but didn't stay in too long because the water and air were both really cold.   We froze heading back to our room...decided we won't be doing that again in the morning.   Didn't sleep the best but wasn't terrible either.   We got up in the morning checked out and headed to IHOP for breakfast.  We then went to the Mall of America.  We first did a little shopping and wandering around.   Sadie was so excited to be in the "big mall".   Little did she know about the rides that were there.   We saved that for the end.....we took her over to the amusement park and her eyes got just huge as she saw the roller coaster....she started yelling....I wanna go on that roller coaster!!!   LOL   Mommy is a chicken so wouldn't go on it with her.....she says but it's ok mommy I can go by myself...I can handle it!!   LOL sooo funny....we had to take her over and show her that she wasn't big enough.  I told her she'd have to have her brother come with her sometime and take her on it with him.  She loved the rides...her favorite one was the Wonder Pets ride.  She was one happy little girl!   We had something to eat then and headed home.  Yesterday we then had a birthday party to go to so she got to play with friends.   What a great weekend.   Now it's on to the week ahead.   Today I don't have much to do other than work.  Maybe some grocery shopping but we'll see.  Wed is the day I pick my oldest up at the airport in Minneapolis.   Not sure if we're going to do anything along the way or not.  It'll be interesting having her home again.

Michelle, I peeked at the link for you new bed & IT IS JUST GEORGEOUS!!!!!  Very 'rich' ... cause I cannot spell elequent right!!!!!  It is Just Beautiful!!!  Yup, you guessesdit, I am jealous/envious!!!
Hope you headache goes away, Michelle.  Have a fun time at the hotel this weekend.

Having a better time here, emotionally, so, that is a definate PLUS!!!!  Supposed to get more snow today & tomorrow, but that is OK... Winter in Alaska.

Tomorrow, I am going to start using my Mother's Day gift & start my refresher course on sewing lessons.  I have not really used a sewing machine since Home Economics in high school, so I am looking foward to it!!  I know it will refresh my skills (rusty as they are) and give me the confidence I am lacking for sewing!!!  No big projects I want to take on, but, it sure will be nice to be able to have that skill back!!!  bought a sewing machine back in 2007 at a yard sale, it was still in the original box.... so I am just excited!!!!

Good morning!  What am I doing up at 5 am on my day off??   Well, I have lots to do today and signed up for 3 hrs of OT so I figured I'd get it out of the way while the house is quiet.  Sadie has an eye appt at 10 this morning.....we've noticed some issues lately and need to get her checked.   Her daddy has an eye disease and is legally blind so we are worried she may have it as well.   Hopefully not but we're on top of it none the less.  Will take her to get the h1n1 vaccine too I guess while we're there.  Then she and I will be off to have lunch together and bond.  I think home for a nap for the afternoon is on the agenda.   She has dance class this afternoon and I might take her ice skating this evening while daddy is busy.  She told me again last night she wants to play hockey ahhhhhhhh.   Daddy will be proud.   We got our new bed ordered last night and it'll be delivered and set up next Sat...woohooo I can't wait.   The biggest news at our house is my oldest is coming home!!!  For real this time too.   I bought her a 1 way airline ticket yesterday so she'll be here next Wed.   I'll be driving the 2 hrs to pick her up at the airport.  Not looking forward to her drama but we'll be so happy to have her home. 

Court....I know what you mean as far as not being appreciated for everything you do.   Happens here often as well.   Sometimes I do just step back and let them try to do it without me........they quickly realize what I do for them all.   Good luck!!  You are an angel being there for those girls!!

Jamie...great pics.   I love the halloween pics of Hunter...he's getting so big.  Love the one of him checking out the baby's feet LOL.  Hope things calm down a bit more for you now that you're back to doing just your own job.   Any news from the Dr?
